People realize NASA hemorrhaging money to collect space dust is meaningless. Kennedy needed propaganda success in the 60s and everyone knows von Braun made it possible. The whole space mystique is gone. Anyone can launch a spy satellite too. But hey, NASA will weasel more money on the Mars mission targeted long enough nobody will collect the debt.
