I'm sorry for the irish here but this whole sequence of events was absolutely  the "diving" stroke in the last second, the 3-1 penalty lead blown and finally the irish player crashing the ball into his own foot in the most decisive penalty. It's just too much.

What a match! It is very tough to see the Irish players at the end of the game. It might be one of the worst forms of losing an Olympics quota...

Honestly what are the odds of all of that happening. Just wasn't meant to be. Insane. For the sake of Irish field hockey, I hope the women qualify now...
