Especially men's K2 looks to me that all the boats in final A may have the quota. Respectively, and the whole crew got the quota in K4. Which means that even though they took medals, the quotas would be reallocated to the boats below but despite the reallocation, they will still participate in K4 at the games and they will also have the opportunity to participate in K2 event if they want, right? Both Australians are eligible for the K2 quota because Green currently has a K1 athlete quota, not K4, while the other Australian wasn't in the K4 boat, I mixed them up because they have the same surname. So these athletes in the men's K2 final are eligible for athlete quotas in that race: SPICAR, Jakub (1993) HAVEL, Daniel (1991) DEL RIO, Adrian (2002) FRANK, Felix (1993) HILLER, Martin (2000) OLIJNIK, Andrej (1987) RIBEIRO, Joao (1989) BAPTISTA, Messias (1999) KOPASZ, Balint (1997) VAN DER WESTHUYZEN, Jean (1998) GREEN, Thomas (1999) HOLPERT, Ervin (1986) DRAGOSAVLJEVIC, Marko (1994) So 13 athletes can take the K2 quotas and there are 12 quotas available in the race. And if Green wins the K2 quota, his K1 quota will get reallocated to CUBELOS, Francisco (1992) If Germany wins 7 athlete quotas, their K1 quota will get reallocated to the next athlete in K1, so either Cubelos or NATHELL, Martin (1995) Josh
Vektor 3,196 Posted August 27, 2023 #192 Share Posted August 27, 2023 (edited) Women's kayak is much easier because all 18 athletes in the WK2 final are eligible for the quotas, none of them were in the K4 boats that qualified. Three reallocations are possible in WK1. If JORGENSEN, Emma Aastrand (1996) wins the K2 quota, her K1 quota gets reallocated to the next highest ranked eligible athlete. If wins their K2 quotas, the host quota in K1 gets reallocated to the next highest ranked eligible athlete If wins 7 athlete quotas, their K1 quota gets reallocated to the next highest ranked eligible athlete. The next three eligible athletes in WK1 are... GOVORCINOVIC, Anamaria (1997) GEORGIEVA, Yoana (2002) CONTRERAS, Isabel (1989) - Spain may reach 7 athlete quotas with this, so in that case the next best ranked eligible athlete is... OLIVIER, Esti (1992) The one thing I am not sure of is when the reallocation happens for nations that won more than 6 quotas in men's/women's kayak. For some reason the document of the Olympic qualification system doesn't specify it. It may only happen when the NOC confirms which athlete quotas they want to use up. But now that we don't have the K1 200, it should be quite obvious that Germany will take the K2 and K4 quotas while they give the K1 quota back. Vektor 3,196 Posted August 27, 2023 #193 Share Posted August 27, 2023 (edited) And finally, for the men's C2, it's very simple. As the C2 is the largest boat in that discipline, everyone in the final is eligible for the C2 quotas. Only one boat will miss out on the qualification. Two reallocation are possible in MC1: If FUKSA, Martin (1993) wins the C2 quota, his C1 quota gets reallocated to next highest ranked eligible athlete If wins their C2 quotas, their host quota in C1 gets reallocated to the next highest ranked eligible athlete The next two eligible athletes in MC1 are... If you have a 6 you could take more athletes. So K1 for Germany must go to the next boat. Edited August 27, 2023 by Adriano

Its surely the most painful dissapointed for us in canoeing as they were always on podium during World Cups this year and also had medal in European Games...
