Apparently the :KSA club of Al-Hilal offered PSG 300 Million EUR to buy Mbappe ... for the next and only 1 season, before him moving the season after to Real Madrid.

Man, that must be fun feel, to shit and piss money daily whenever you wish just like that

Imagine how insanely shitty the reputation of your country is, when you offer someone 700 million EUR to play for a year (yes, they would pay PSG 300 million and Mbappé 700 million) in your shitty competition which nobody watches, and still this person refuses...not just 'refuses', but refuses to even talk to you about it :d

22 euro per second, for a full year. Go to sleep, sleep a regular night and you're rougly 600k euro richer. But still the prospect of playing in such an awful country like Saudi Arabia makes you refuse it :d

Of course he knows he wouldn't be required to play just football, just like Cristiano Ronaldo nowadays is headlining the propaganda machine, but unlike Cristiano Ronaldo, surprisingly Mbappé didn't sell his soul :p

not a bad group for Iran, we sometimes struggle in the first round (almost got eliminated last time) I think all of AFC big teams have no problem in the first round

and I hope the current coach (who is a mafia boss) is sacked before this, it's just hard for me to cheer for any team he coaches.

I see that :TUR finally found a way to host the UEFA Euros. By doing a joint bid with a top nation.

EURO 2032 in :ITA & :TUR

Doubt that anyone will contest that. All the other top European nations had or are getting other big events, EURO 2016 + SOG 2024 for France, EURO 2024 for Germany, EURO 2028 for England, World Cup 2030 for Spain.

Nice to see the Romans and Byzantines joining forces once again :p

Italy and Turkey is very weird joint bid for me , even weirder than Rumors that linked Israel with UAE and Bahrain joint bid for 2030 WC , but it'd be fun that West meets East

and it finally happened. Last night.

After looong and embarassing 8 years, Košice (the second biggest city of the country) finally returned to the top tier championship, and what a return it was.

Yesterday in the 1st round we hosted as the newly promoted team the reigning champion,  the arch-rival Slovan Bratislava.

More than 5 000 spectators and great atmosphere. despite the final result 0-0 it was a great evening :) Now hopefully we will be able to avoid relegation, after when we returned from 8 years hiatus lol

Since we talk comebacks, my club Ruch Chorzów returned to the top flights after six years absence and we got our first win (2-0) on Matchday 2 vs fellow promoted team ŁKS Łódź on Friday.

  • 2 weeks later...

Back to earth for FC Košice in :SVK league :p After unexpected 0-0 draw against Slovan Bratislava in the opening round, came the first trip away and first debacle ...

Clear and easy defeat in Dunajská Streda against local DAC 5-2

everything fine, obviously, completely deserved win for the host, horrendous defence from our boys, but, yeah that is what you will have to face in the top tier, so better work more to not redrop immediatelly to 2. league next season..

Anyway, small mention to local fans, (you know, DAC Dunajská Streda, that pro-Hungarian/anti-Slovak fans) again could not refrain themselves once more from idiotic attempts of provocation ... cross out the name of the city Košice and write instead the Hungarian name used under HUN/AUT-HUN empire Kassa .. idiots :p

Not sure if it was the NOC or the biathlon federation (I assume the latter) that put him in the Livigno training 'world' with a former Italian biathlete as coach, but they can definitely also be blamed:  almost everyone involved in that shitshow got the motivation just sucked out of them by the methods and shitty atmosphere until they either retired or changed country

    • Lots of injuries, including often just pure bad-luck stuff like a fall from a set of stairs, illness, and of course the Sochi tragedy in 2014: one of her biathlon friends, young Julia Pieper, killed herself with a biathlon rifle early during the Olympics (she wasn't on the team, but was a training partner of both Preuss and Dahlmeier). Obviously a hard hit, which led to terrible Olympics for Preuss, with a DNF, awful results in her other individual races and a relay where she was the first runner for Germany, but fell early on, got snow in her rifle and broke a pole and ended up losing almost 3 minutes, which in turn resulted in Germany being off the podium for the first time ever.   After that came all the injuries and illness and everything. So glad to finally see her have her big individual global gold, that is so well deserved.
