you didn't put the only true winners as an option in this poll:

money, hypocrisy, misogyny, homophobia, exploitation and corruption

by the way, among the other senseless options, I went with :BRA Brazil.

even if my heart, being :ITA Italy out once again, is 99% with :ARG Argentina and the remaining 1% with :SUI Switzerland.

Maybe you are right.

But I'm going to enjoy this World Cup. We must enjoy the time now as much as we can. When Trump wins in 2024 and Putin is doing what is doing, we are in deep shit in our part of Europe. So let's enjoy things while we still can.

Since 2006 this is the World Cup that im more confident with the Brazilian team, i dont know if we gonna be the champions, but my expectations are high for reaching at least the semis

The champion will be one of Argentina, Brazil or Portugal.

France has the talent to win it again of course but I'm very skeptical about betting anything on defending champions in this competition, so I don't think they will win.

I don't see any other team winning.

Obviously would like for Portugal to win but while the "Ronaldo monarchy" endures (where it is stated somewhere in the constitution that he always has to play from the start in every match) i fear there will be no chance of anything special for this WC.

Apart from Portugal i will obviously cheer for our "brother nation" Brazil, although i think Argentina will take this one,

    • Ukraine has made progress recently and lost yesterday on penalties to the UK, but that still doesn't explain why the Italian team isn't making any progress. We are sitting in a lower division for 3 years and that's with a ban for Rus and Blr. New and great coaches are being brought in and it's not giving any results. 8-10 years ago we were regularly playing in the highest division, every 2 years and that was with a much stronger teams (Russia and Belarus were there). I don't know where the problem is.

    • Many things, probably they thought it is already over and the win will come itself... but also Nitra improved their play a lot, they outplayed us in physicality in the last 2 games, they won almost every duel. Was hard to watch. Anyway I am still persuated we will finish the job at home with success on Tuesday
    • If you look at their results this season and on the Super Series, it’s not really that surprising.    I’d consider them to be medal contenders.
    • At one point it seemed we were making good progress in this sport, but in the past 1-2 years things seem to have hit a standstill..   Ivaylo Ivanov is still our only elite judoka, but he is passing 30. There were/are some promising youngsters, but they haven't been able to make a jump to the senior level. At this Euro we barely had any first round wins (not including Ivanov). In fencing and taekwondo the results are much more visible for us.
    • yes, but that's only an (important) episode... I mean, what's up with your team more in general...it looks like they got the classic "fear to win", they're not as brilliant as they were in the early games of the series
    • after a few leagues ended well before the true climax, now we have both leagues from the good, old Czechoslovakia going to game #7    shame that both games will be at the exact same time
