Yep. Their employers have priority over the national teams, more and more often and logically so. Per Strand Hagenes wasn't really told that in the U23 race, but he just didn't do anything for neither: his Norwegian 'captain' Waerenskjold or his 'Jumbo-Visma captain' Kooij, so...yeah

Maybe 'Sagan announces end of career' can get some views as a headline on Dutch cycling websites, as long as they don't put the first name in the title
