Have the GB team pulled out? Maybe Covid? Seem to be a lot of DNS today?

(Admittedly I haven’t really been paying attention)

Someone commented elsewhere that they're focusing on relays.

swimming the 200m free semifinals just 10 mins after the 100m fly final...:yikes:

that's too much also for someone like Milak...

and he should swim also the 4*100m free relay at the end of today's session...:mumble:

how to kill himself...

Milak not a robot after all. But the schedule was brutal, in Worlds and Olympics he should be fine with the same events.

To be fair, 100 fly and 200 free shortly after each other is not really something one can blame anyone for, it's not like that's the most usual combination or anything :p

He will have to drop the 100 free at the Olympics because it's an impossible double with the 200 fly (adjacent events).

Yup, but he said this week that he wants to swim the 100 in Paris if he is around 47. Honestly, he has such an advantage in the 200 FL that he could try. I mean, his relay split here was pretty good, and that's with a 200 FR in the middle.

Well, let's see how Milák's Paris 2024 schedule would look like if he enters 4 individual events and 2 relays.

Day 1 Prelims - 4x100 Free H

Day 1 Finals - 4x100 Free F

Day 2 Prelims - 200 Free H

Day 2 Finals - 200 Free SF

Day 3 Prelims -

Day 3 Finals - 200 Free F

Day 4 Prelims - 200 Fly H, 100 Free H, 4x200 Free H

Day 4 Finals - 100 Free SF, 200 Fly SF, 4x200 Free F

Day 5 Prelims -

Day 5 Finals - 200 Fly F, 100 Free F

Day 6 Prelims -

Day 6 Finals -

Day 7 Prelims - 100 Fly H

Day 7 Finals - 100 Fly SF

Day 8 Prelims -

Day 8 Finals - 100 Fly F

Day 9 Finals -

So yeah, Day 4 would be near impossible if he wants to do everything. He either has to give up 100 Free or our men's 4x200 free relay is fucked.
