'm not talking about ways of training. I mean that to be the best on the world you must take much time. It's probably not 1h of training a day. It can be 5-6h maybe more.

You're saying this from your experience or it's only supposition? I'm sorry but it's very hard to believe that the best athletes from sport in which are pretty good money don't need a really hard training to stand on top.

I follow the best athletes in every Olympic sport, mostly for research purpose and fact finding for reports, so I follow quite a few of them too. They Skateboard a lot, but it’s not internee training and they really only compete against adults at the bigger competitions. They also have some really stupid posts that you’d see for kids my sisters age.

Interesting ... why do you hate her so much while cheering for Gatlin?

Because i don't like Jamaica and have liked Gatlin since 2004.

That's not the point. Even without actual reporting, users have brought the topic of reporting.

Yes, the moderator of the forum did...

:mumble:no idea what word you're talking about. Maybe it's some mexican/caribbean slang?

Mexican :yes. My professor likes to teach regional slang, though that one was unintentional and he was a bit upset by it.

    • Weightlifting formula is more or less similar to 2020 which was considered terrible by everybody!    this is a tough sport, you can't be in your best shape for too many events. there will be risks of serious injuries this way. with these rules you need 5 good results to qualify. if you bomb out in an event to score a zero you are out of the Olympics unless you replace it with another event. which means most of these poor guys have to participate in 7-8 events (and not just 5) to make up for possible bomb outs.    most importantly if you get injured anytime during this period (almost 2 years) you are out of the Olympics! that's how Sohrab Moradi missed the Tokyo Olympics despite breaking the WR during the qualification period. you can miss the Olympics in 2028 if you get injured late 2026 !  Karlos Nasar couldn't win the Olympic title if we had these rules in 2024   I understand 2024 qualification formula wasn't great either, it had its own flaws but this one is much worse for threatening athletes' health.

    • Off to Milan for the 145th session of the International Olympic Committee. Although the agenda has not been published yet, there shouldn’t be any major items over these two days, apart from the election of a member of the IOC Executive Board. This will be the eighth time the session is held in Italy, the last one being during the Turin 2006 Olympic Games.

    • Weightlifting We now have six events per gender with a total of 10 athletes per event.   The Olympic Qualification Rankings will be based on the sum of the total results of five events (three from period 1 and two from period 2). The top 8 will qualify.   The 9th spot will also be based on the OQR, but it will go to the highest ranked athlete from an unrepresented continent.   The 10th spot will be split between the host and universality (3 each per gender). Should the United States qualify normally then their host quota will be reduced, first going to an athlete from an unrepresented continent then to the overall highest ranked athlete.   Additionally, a "Best Lifter" will be awarded which would give the nation the chance to qualify 4 athletes rather than the max of 3.
    • The probability of winning a medal in the men's 500m also seems a bit off
