The South and Central American Men's Handball Championship is underway.

The tournament was supposed to have 8 teams, with two groups of 4 teams, where the two two teams advance to the semifinals and qualify for the World Cup.

However Colombia withdrew, so group A has Argentina, Uruguay and Bolivia, and group B has Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Costa Rica.

Uruguay defeated Bolivia 42-9, therefore we qualified to the World Cup. Good for us, but probably unfair to the group B teams.

Well, the list of candidates is endless here for sure :d but for the defence of field hockey nobody never expected/ will never expect anything in other hand we have quite regularly articles trying to hype the casual fans and other lay population (read: inexplicably overestimating the capacities, skills and expectations) about handball or god forgive basketball in the country and then it result in this... like last night...

you can not imagine how it drive me nuts
