Played ourselves into pressure but handled it well

As now we come across the world
To share these Games of old
Let all the flags of every land
In brotherhood unfold

well, I knew Mosaner is (very) good, but Constantini is a true revelation...

by the way, I didn't expect them to start 4&0, even if we haven't faced any top team like CAN, GBR or SWE yet...

now, the semis don't look so improbable anymore...:fingers:

Italy may have started with an easy draw, but they are making the most of it. Still lots of curling to go, but they are inching closer to a semi-final spot. Probably only need 2/5 wins and they still have Australia to play

Don't underestimate :AUS even having 0:4 they played some really tight games ....

Curling is not among the more predictable sports, but sometimes in these sports there are teams who come to championships and just look invincible from the start. I have seen it time and again in show jumping. Italy definitely has an X factor here (jinxing aside).

should I post the owl's photo once again?

:SUI Jenny Perret with a miss of the tournament. A simple single take out for 2 points and she misses the stone alltogether.

Instead of 4-3 it's 5-1 :SWE

    • Ah, as if that weren’t enough, Fratelli d’Italia (the largest party in parliament, the same one PM Giorgia Meloni belongs to) is demanding that the federation’s leadership come to parliament to explain the reasons for the failure. One of the rare times the government and opposition are united
    • Obviously, like every four years, the usual media circus has kicked off, with Italian politics and the government demanding the FIGC president’s head on a spike. Meanwhile, since the president is also an idiot, he doubled down, saying that football players are the only professionals and that other sports survive on government money. And so, the little theater begins, with the big stars of other sports launching a media storm (rightly so) to insult overpaid football players who can’t even achieve the minimum results. For the third time in a row.
    • They traveled 3 days to go in Mexico and still they qualifed to WC, unbelievable.
    • Agree. I remember when they beat Argentina, 6-1, in La Paz some years ago.
    • Without altitude, this Bolivian team is nothing.
    • Iraaaaaaaq   find transportation was complicated without plane , they even claimed postponing the date    finally they did it
    • in Paris we got 40 medals and 12 golds and we had disappointing campaigns in quite a few disciplines we should have got the 15/50 already 2 years ago and we're on the raising curve in a few sports tbh, as it is right now, that 20/50 target is definitely realistic, maybe a bit optimistic, but realistic
    • there's always the chance to change that just take 5-7% of the Superenalotto prize money and you have fixed the problem (and coni gets more money than ever)
