Choking is what Shiffrin did. Posting a normal run instead of another fantastic run isn't choking at all, that's just...a normal run.

Also just want to make clear that my statement about this being heartbreaking is nothing against Vlhova at all, she had an awesome run :bowdown: 

 

But in gold medal position until 75% of the course and then out of the medals by hundredths....damn :cry:

He seemed to be able to do it. I thought she was in control of the run, and yet she didn't finish.

      I think they incorrectly translated Ukrainian word "nahorody" - it is not a full synonym of "medal". Its cocrrect translation is "award". Meanwhile russian tennis playes switched for Potapova ->  Rakhimova ->

I mean, it's not like the Ukrainian federation, or any single federation for that matter, has the power to strip her of her world and European championships medals I hope (not for her sake, but because that would be a super weird precedent)

      Confirmation about the broadcasting rights.   If I'm reading it right, for most of Europe it will now be exclusive to Discovery/Eurosport or whatever brand they use.     For outside Europe, it's on YouTube.       Surely. Her first coach now works in russia (and grandma lives in russia according to Sereda). They were in contact and despite of full funding from  the girl decided to become the star of russian propaganda.  As I saw in X: "It took the Russians four years of war to find a relatively well-known sports personality to carry out such a propaganda operation."
