To be fair, it does seem Italy and France are basically requesting the same thing, so it's not just Austria :p

no, Italy are only asking to switch a couple of their women's alpine skiing quota places to the men's squad, which imho could and should be always possible (at least for 1, max 2 quota...like they already do in other sports -shooting is the first that comes to my mind)...

to be precise: the left knee's ACL is partially broken and that's the same knee she already destroyed in 2013 (when it was completely rebuilt)...

imho, she doesn't stand a chance to be competitive in 3 weeks time (not to mention the psychological aspect, with 2 hard crashes in the last 4 races)...

I just can't wait. Let's get it started!

I

so, we have 2 uphill sections :yikes:

one Kitz alike narrow road (completely flat)...

how can people say this is a difficult slope?

obviously it's all about the design of the actual course, but man...this track is going to make the Sochi and Pyeongchang's some kind of "great classics"...:hairpull:

I think we're gonna see some surprising results there...

Both request should be a no. Thankfully it is not FIS deciding.

I mean the rules are stupid but were clear from beginning. The Austrians did not even read the qualification rules probably as they thought we will have 11 anyway.

And you are right with shooting,  but that was clear from beginning not a change afterwards.

I posted the same video on the first page back in August. I wonder what has changed since? Still that big turn at the bottom? Could be some tired legs making mistakes ;)

Somehow I feel Goggia doesn't feel psychological aspects, otherwise she wouldn't put down kamikaze runs every single time despite her injury history :p

I agree that it should be throughout one sport ...... In this case alpine skiing.... But if :AUT should be requesting switching snowboarding quota for alpine? I think that's wrong ..... They did not earn enough quota in alpine? Not my fault..... If you don't want the snowboarding quota, fair enough, decline it and give a chance someone else in THE SAME SPORT!!!!

Maybe next time, the ice hockey coach can say that he will take 23 players instead of 25 in order to get a spot in mixed doubles curling competition ...... 💪💪

    • (Quiet gaming, zero social pressure, no calls, no KYC… just peace.) As someone who’s definitely on the introverted side, I’ve always hated anything that feels intrusive — long registrations, support calls, verification uploads, or sites that spam you into interacting. So over the past year, I tested a bunch of crypto casinos specifically to see which ones are introvert-friendly: ✔ no forced KYC ✔ fast payouts (so no long back-and-forth with support) ✔ clean, quiet UI ✔ no pop-ups and no social pressure ✔ easy deposits ✔ minimal interaction needed Below is what actually worked for me. ⭐ My Top Crypto Casinos for Introverts (Real Testing Results) Casino Why It’s Introvert-Friendly Speed Link JackBit Quiet UI, no KYC, instant payouts 7 min 👉 Play at JackBit BetWhale Low-pressure bonuses, simple layout 14 min 👉 Play at BetWhale BitStarz Fast cashouts, no forced conversations 9 min 👉 Play at BitStarz ThunderPick Clean minimalist design 18 min 👉 Play on ThunderPick 7Bit Casino Extremely chill, no notifications 22 min 👉 Play at 7Bit 1. Why it works for introverts: Wagering progress updates silently No pushy pop-ups The whole site feels “low-pressure” Support never contacts you unless you message first It’s a very low-interaction platform.   👉 Play at BetWhale (Smooth & Simple) 3. BitStarz – Fast Payouts Means Less Interaction BitStarz is great if you want to deposit, play, withdraw and leave — quick and efficient, no conversations needed. What I like: Withdrawals are some of the fastest online No random KYC prompts if you use crypto Very stable gameplay (no need to contact support) A calm, mature-feeling interface Perfect for players who like things to “just work.”   👉 Play at BitStarz (Quick & Quiet Gaming) 4. Introvert-friendly perks: Great for casual betting without chat rooms Mobile interface is extremely calm No forced community features You can switch between casino & sports without talking to anyone     👉 Play on ThunderPick (Minimalist Interface) 5. 7Bit – The Chillest, Quietest Crypto Casino 7Bit feels like a casino designed for people who want to be left alone. Why I recommend it: No aggressive marketing No forced KYC unless you use fiat Huge game library with silent browsing Simple cashier with no need for support interactions It’s a very relaxed environment.   👉 Play at 7Bit (Totally Low-Pressure) Final Thoughts — The Introvert’s Casino Shortlist If you want a quiet, private gaming experience without feeling watched, talked to, or pressured: 🏆 Best Overall for Introverts: JackBit 🏆 Best Quiet Bonus Experience: BetWhale 🏆 Fastest Stress-Free Payouts: BitStarz 🏆 Best Minimalist UI: ThunderPick 🏆 Most Chill Game Library: 7Bit
    • It's not a coincidence that a lot of the matches that are earlier in the day are in Atlanta and Houston and Dallas where they have roofs.  And most of the games in the outdoor stadiums are later in the day.
    • The best athletes will all be there anyway – it's easier to get a spot in the top 10-15. Only the great champions were ahead of Gismondi today.
    • They are not "oppressed enough" to be mention here.
    • And remember the Olympic Paradox - it is slightly easier to get a medal at the Olympics than at a World Cup because in the Olympics the numbers of racers from the powerful nations are capped at 4.
    • Jimmy Mariano  basketball. 84 years old.   Member of the Philippine men’s basketball team at the 1972 Summer Olympics. Flag bearer for the Philippine delegation at those Games.
    • Franchi had a similarly impressive performance at the 2023 World Championships on the same distance but later she completly missing. I hope that with Gismondi will be different, especially since she was already a great talent in her junior years. The problem in Italy is that for the past 15 years, aside from Pellegrino, there has been a miss of stability in other athletes: there are some booms of excellent form, but later they disappear. I also worry that funding for cross-country skiing will be cut after the Cortina Olympics.
    • The last day was a great success, for first. Secondly, even 20 medals are fewer than the 22 from 2023 and 34 from 2021
