There isn't. I would understand if there were 60-70 competitors, but with 53 it's just silly. Or if there would only be 40 spots to qualify, but it's still 50, so these are useless.

Yeah, the state of Czech ski jumping reflects the state of the Harrachov complex right now.

I get the idea behind why the normal hill event exists, but this is the one competition with a long history that I would remove from the Games. It just seems so pointless, this isn't "real" ski jumping, the sport has moved past this a long time ago. They should have dropped it when the women's event was added, that way the sport would have one male and one female individual event, equality achieved.
