    Samsonov is the next Nathan Chen. Child prodigy doing Quads, but having terrible consistency at big competitions. I’ve yet to see him land his first jump in any program he’s ever done. Oh well, there goes my prediction. Also, he landed a Quad at the YOG!

    Guess I better start playing again. The problem is the ban on FPS games (because that’s mostly what I play). I’d imagine if they add esports, it will be FIFA, LOL, Overwatch 2, and DOTA. I wouldn’t mind seeing Mortal Combat, I Racing or Forza, or Rocket League either.

    That mirrors one of my favorite things about Cross Country (running). You could have an epic battle with someone to the finish, but despite losing/winning the mutual respect for the fight is a great feeling. Plus, I was always willing to drop everything for another runner in big trouble because I knew what they’d gone through, and it’d suck if there was not a single person willing to support them.

    Of course I could say the same things about Mass Starts from my time as a runner. I agree with that though. I’m just saying that those aren’t necessary the most interesting, exciting, or entertaining events to watch. They should absolutely be kept on the program though.

    Kokura is my new favorite skater. He has to be one of the most fun skaters to watch. He enjoys the sport so much. Plus, he rises to the occasion well, though his nerves got him a bit today.

    Fair. I guess it’s more just personal preference. As an athlete, I love time trials. However, as a spectator I favor the sprints and Mass Starts. The Team Pursuit is just interesting because it’s something different, and it adds a new dynamic to the sport.

    The difference is I don’t want those events gone. I found the 50km awesome to watch, albeit a little tedious. The problem with the 10km is the lack of skaters that are competitive. It’s not fun to watch the same people win by large margins. I love skating distance and sprints, but I just find the sprints and epic distance Mass Starts more entertaining than the boring ass time trials.

    That may be the roller speed skater in me talking. I enjoy a time trial as much as everyone, especially as an athlete, but they can be boring as fuck. 10,000m is nap time during the Olympics. It should absolutely be on the program, it’s just not that entertaining. The Mass Start’s problem is just a bad format. I like the Team Pursuit as well.

    I don’t think I’ve ever heard an Israeli athlete speak Hebrew . They either speak Ukrainian/Russian, French, or terrible English. They’re aren’t a lot of people who know fluent Hebrew, you think it’d be an advantage to speak in that language instead of these better known ones.
