  17. It’s so interesting that people mostly choose Valley speak to represent the whole US. It definitely shows the power of our entertainment industry in California. To be honest, it’s a moderate sub-section of the state that talks likes this, and it’s definitely played up for television and film.   18. I think it’s an interesting concept at least. Leave the gendered team events (and individual events) for the powerhouses, but set aside one event for the developing programs. I can at least respect the logic behind this attempt to boost medal counts, compared to leaving events off the program or adding a bunch of sports/events practiced almost exclusively in the host country.
