Bennett/Almeida fell to in the 9-16 bracket in women’s beach volleyball. Their early success got my hopes up for a bit, but they’re heading for a 12-16th place finish now. Still, they’re fighting
looked to have a pretty serious injury on the final point, so not sure that pair will continue past this match.
I don’t really see what looks odd or weird about mixed boats in canoe sprint. I would be interested to hear from athletes how the dynamics differ or match the gendered events.

Like I said, I’ll be super happy with any medals. Archery and Sailing are probably the best bets. It’d be really cool if the basketball teams could find their way into the finals bracket.
Honestly wouldn’t shock me if they weren’t built yet, given what I’ve read about other Games’ infrastructure…
