  1. It's annoying how the live streams aren't available yet as on-demand video as soon as the race is finished FIL's live streaming system having these annoying flaws, IBSF messed up their YouTube channel so it's not possible to pause and rewind a live stream anymore (and you have to watch either live entirely or on-demand entirely)....the streaming world is going backwards
  2. But there's a bridge! And they go up the bridge twice a lap!
  3. Not really. At least those who competed in the World Cup in December seem to have what looks like (for the uneducated like us) a mix between a Mongolian and Chinese name. A logical guess would be they're from areas relatively close to Mongolia, which think might also be more logical than coming from the big cities like Shanghai. Same thing in speed skating every now and then.
  4. You better make sure your laptop is too far away to be thrown out of the window.
  5. The Oostende authorities had a long 'battle' about whether or not it could be held, but last week or so it was finally given the green light That's going to be a whole, whole lot of sand and other than that a bit of a boring track...if they wanted sand so badly to help Van Aert, they should have gone for the much better Koksijde or for Zonhoven and The Pit
  6. China has been competing in the World Cup since at least December
  7. At least I've found a way that works (for me) to not miss competitions in case I missed some replacement or postponement or whatever. Every Monday I go to this URL, where you see all the World Cups in all FIS sports, and check out what's still actually there for the current week Surprisingly it made me actually not miss a single event yet
  8. Depends on the level of exotic you're looking for. No problems for the South American big three and the likes of Iran, Bolivia or last time even Bermuda wouldn't have had a problem. I do agree with your main point, but 300 points is not that terrible and impossible for skiers of a decent level even in classic (remember the qualifying race counts too).
  9. Ravenna (/) misses out by one position, Tiruma doesn't make it neither.
  10. The 'instantly guaranteed' isn't really the case yet though, first he'll have to get under 300 points at the world championships next month.
  11. 'Decimating' is also relative, it seems now
  12. Wait, his insanity in Lahti wasn't 'letting the anger out' yet?
  13. @brunamoura and I will have some celebratory snacks tonight after Baiba's gold
  14. Rieder/Rastner don't make the race. https://www.fil-luge.org/cdn/uploads/sprint-doubles-qualification-koenigssee-result.pdf
  15. By the way, just realizing this now, but how can someone with a minority share change the ownership ratios apparently without any sort of approval from the one with a majority share?
  16. DNF for Pavel Repilov and what looks like either a crash or some very big mistakes for 2019 world champion Jonas Müller. https://www.fil-luge.org/cdn/uploads/sprint-men-qualification-koenigssee-result.pdf
  17. I wonder how many sports have more women than men competing in a singles event
  18. Am I missing something here or how is this not a massive knife in the back of her own husband? She basically puts her country above her own marriage?
  19. I don't think he's very much interested in sprinting for top-3 finishes in the Tour of Hainan/Langkawi/Taiwan or whichever new soulless race the next sheikh comes up with.
  20. Oh and this is pretty sweet https://papplikum-oberstdorf2021.com
  21. This confuses me: But....Lillehammer was for early December and has been postponed, after which the women's ski jumping and the Nordic combined were recently finally given a date (in February), but the cross-country events there are still listed as postponed. Oslo is still the only World Cup in Norway this season according to the FIS calendar, but this FIS article suggests otherwise.
  22. Well, that's clear enough
  23. Yeah I really can't see him beat Van den Berg and/or Van 't Hoenderdaal, but you never know He earned his right to at least fight for it.
