  1. You're a little behind buddy Sunday the GP Marseillaise was already held and today one of the more well-known early-season stage races starts with the Etoile de Besseges.
  2. That seems doubtful, unless they basically destroy the whole thing by turning it into an indoor hall...which would just be terrible.
  3. Although Biden doesn't have the power to jail Trump, obviously (neither does Putin with Navalny, officially, but I do think we can all agree the system in Russia is most likely a whole lot more dictated by the dictator's whims).
  4. In need of some help here, related to the qualifying path for the 2022 Olympics. First off, here is the qualifying document: https://nocnsf.nl/media/3503/beijing-2022-qualification-system-cross-country-skiing.pdf Now, the question is how/if a country could get two female quota places, I find it a little hard to read and combine all options in the given document. Would the following scenario be possible? - The country earns the maximum of one female quota at the World Championships, thanks to at least one of the three women (or more, of course) going under 300 FIS points in at least one of the races there. - The same country then earns a second female quota by finishing in the top-30 of the Nation Rankings (also, where can said Nation Rankings be found? It's different than the Nation Cup?) I am mostly confused by the second point: do the nations between 21st and 30th place get one more quota besides the basic quota from D.1, or is that still a maximum of one quota and is it impossible for nations ranked 21st or lower to have two female quotas?
  5. Yeah but those schedules were just...odd. Having the bronze medal match after the final means really nobody gives a flying fuck anymore (maybe outside some people in the two countries) instead of only a few people Weird request as well, I get USA wants the final at their best possible time, but that shouldn't be much of a problem while still having the bronze medal match before it.
  6. Excellent chance that's a mistake I'd say
  7. Yeah but Hollyboob probably makes people think about OMG A NIPPLE so luckily they were arrested and gonna be put away for a long, long time for that horror /usa
  8. What's with Jamaica and Brazil and World Cup podiums by the way? Edit: Ah, right, those B-division World Series races that are held outside the World Cup circuit
  9. And speed skating, two weeks after it started
  10. I don't think we have any of those movies that always comes back on TV here, but then again, commercials for those are usually not on Eurosport so I might miss most
  11. The Outsider is worth watching So is Barbaren so far, especially if you like some 2000-year old history.
  12. Damn Goggia is such an awesome skier to watch, but yeah...
  13. Kramer is on fire
  14. Sorry for your loss buddy
  15. Oh crap, this commentator nightmare has hit the World Cup
  16. Ärni going from 29th to 4th
  17. You are my hero, awesome And thanks, I knew the link to the news page and will definitely keep having an eye on that (I like that there's not a lot of mainstream news there, but more things you don't really see anywhere else). Like I said, it's really nothing against it, my single reason is the thing of avoiding spoilers
  18. Come on Worst, I can't imagine my little Nunspeet having a world champion but that'd be so awesome
  19. Is there some way to not see the Latest News part, or is that something a user can't change? Nothing at all against it, but I notice now there's also luge results being posted there, so now I can add Totallympics to the list of websites I should leave until I'm all caught up with all the sports (which is no problem with regular threads, there you can just decide to not open the thread of the event you want to know nothing about yet - besides the rare idiot who posts spoilers for event A in the thread for event B ).
  20. First yesterday's qualifying was postponed to today, then it was postponed by another hour, and now today is cancelled. Let's see how it goes tomorrow..
  21. Which is of course bullshit, but when you're the head of an NOC, you can't really say much else No way athletes should get priority over actually important people, but yeah. Money talks.
  22. Yes, but I am used to that by now since that's almost always the case. Sometimes the thumbnail is a random picture, but usually - also in World Cups - it's something like athlete A cheering, a screenshot from athlete B crossing the line in 1st or even the podium Once you're used to that, it's fine though, just use your hand to cover the video and scroll in such a way that you only see the title of the video, then click. Yeah it ain't ideal But it's a viable workaround at least.
  23. Yeah this is for Zuk, finally something in the seniors
  24. I am entirely sure after this the super-G was scheduled for 11.45 today on the FIS website, so just for those who are waiting for that: it actually starts at 11.00, I just saw by coincidence
  25. Bendika is rather hasty, resulting in an annoying pattern: Miss, hit, hit, hit, hit Miss, hit, hit, hit, hit Miss, hit, hit, hit, hit
