  1. Someone running onto the field, towards Mbappé apparently. Has been caught and waves to the public. We can't see that, because we are only allowed to see football and footballers who are busy dying.
  2. None. All potentially fun additions are barely competitive at all, globally speaking.
  3. At the very least there should be an extra substitute when a (neutral) doctor says there is a concussion risk, maybe that would help in stopping coaches from letting people in a too dangerous situation play..
  4. I wonder how Matej Mohoric feels...he is basically responsible for his captain Haig being out with that hard crash, going into the downhill so fast like basically only Mohoric can do...
  5. But the whole "everyone is against the always innocent Sagan " thingy.....
  6. Hopefully we never go back to 3, this higher number gives much more of an extra dimension to the game
  7. Good to shut up those idiots (who will hopefully but probably not be jailed) who sent death threats to him and his family. Death threats. For not scoring.
  8. Not the first time Croatia is two goals behind
  9. As that Eurosport guy said (not sure who it was, an ex-cyclist I assume): "There was quite a lot of fighting towards the final sprint, which is not surprising when Peter Sagan is involved." This would have been a perfect sprint for Nacer The World's Most Aggressive Pro Cyclist Bouhanni
  10. Merlier stood up to sprint, which makes you slow down for a fraction of a second. Ewan was of course right on his wheel, as he as a sprinter should, but he then hit Merlier's back wheel when Merlier stood up (and thus slowed down a tiny bit). Nobody's fault, really, but highly unfortunate for Ewan and Sagan.
  11. Often, but actually not this time. Merlier 'caused' it, although not at all due to his own fault. That corner being there in the first place is a scandal by itself.
  12. That was unfortunate for Ewan (and then Sagan too)..
  13. The rules make it hard I'd kick out some swimming, but since I'd have to add the same number of events back into swimming, that really doesn't solve anything and swimming still ends up with a completely ridiculous amount of events The full three events for climbing instead of one, skateboarding out, surfing out, dressage out, but that won't fit in the rules, sadly. Maybe rhythmic gymnastics out in favour of tumbling, that might count Maybe bring double trap shooting back in while taking mixed trap or one of those indoor things where they're just standing still out of the program. In track cycling madison can go (especially the women's, but let's be fair and take both), elimination race or something can replace it. Points race would be the best, since there's basically no real endurance event (other than said madison) on the program now. Omnium, sure, but that's a bad one as well in the current set-up. Maybe we can just throw around the whole omnium more so that it's actually more like a real omnium (aka allround event).
  14. Just walk next to Amsterdam Central Station and your lungs are filled with the smell of urine Luckily smaller towns don't really have this kind of hygiene issue one sees in bigger cities, so I'm fine where I am The people in this picture are obviously not the only ones and without any doubt people from basically all visiting countries in this whole event are doing the same, but they should all be ashamed of themselves. Pigs.
  15. Awesome if you're watching for anything that's not football, because it had absolutely nothing to do with actual football Nothing but a bunch of morons freefighting
  16. Are the matches known yet as well, or will the schedule be made later? Couldn't find it on World Rugby's site or Wikipedia
  17. And that's a DNF for Gesink. Saturday he was basically the only Jumbo rider who did not fall, but sadly bad luck found it's way back to him as per usual. His career really makes one think, what if?
  18. Gesink joined the crash as well apparently....again Those f*cking little posts on the side of the road....organizers really should pay more attention to the kind of roads they use, this nonsense is so dangerous.
  19. That first sentence made me very worried, that second sentence made me not really worried at all anymore (luckily) I mean, he might be injured, but if he's already back on his bike at least he's not in some sort of danger, luckily.
  20. Ugh, this is so fucking shameful. Disgusting people, walk 50 meters more and use one of the undoubtedly dozens of portable toilets standing everywhere in the city on a day like this...
  21. As my Belgian colleague said today: "In the end of the match I wasn't sure if I was still watching football or if I'd accidentally switched to kickboxing" Just like Netherlands - Portugal in 2006, although that was even way worse. Both teams deserved to be kicked out that shameful day in Nürnberg.
  22. This has Ewan vs Demare written all over it Too easy finish for Sagan, Van Aert or Colbrelli to make a difference, too hard final for Merlier
  23. Possibly, although so far only Anouk Vetter is listed. There doesn't seem to be a specific standard required for the combined events though..
  24. Why open a thread about sport X when you didn't see sport X yet?
