  1. The faulty DQ of the Sierra Leone guy this morning, all the messy long jump faults.... it's an interesting event so far
  2. Yes yes yes yes!!! Surely anyone with even a 1% heart for sports can at the very least not be unhappy with a true sportsman and true fighter like Lesser winning, especially in this moment
  3. Lesser! Come on guy!
  4. Looks like Baiba made the mass start by a single point, one more race to go https://ibu.blob.core.windows.net/docs/2122/BT/SWRL/CP10/SWMS/C51D1_v2.pdf
  5. Lesser, dude, why are you retiring
  6. With Selina Gasparin and Maren Hammerschmidt being the next additions.
  7. As per usual, it seems, especially in Olympic seasons
  8. Eva Puskarcikova and Anaïs Bescond are the next biathletes on the list.
  9. Meh. I can't remember what Latypov did wrong to deserve any schadenfreude (same for Mironova, who - if that even matters - has publicly stated opposition against the war).
  10. And yet another one bites the dust.
  11. Der Untergang, Kremlin edition.
  12. I do have those, yes, just have to remember to record the broadcasts because broadcasts on non-Dutch channels can't be watched on-demand (here) I also see Austria and Germany for example aren't in the list with broadcasters, so with a VPN from there the YT stream should work, I suppose!
  13. Ah shit, that sucks And with these pools, I guess A and C are in the Netherlands, B and D in Poland, and the second round pools are presumably similar. So we have to hope Brazil and the Netherlands both qualify for the knockout rounds and happen to play each other and happen to do so in the Netherlands
  14. From the biathlon thread: Kadri Lehtla Leif Nordgren, Clare Egan and Susan Dunklee Amanda Lightfoot
  15. Great, NOS has the rights. Meaning they'll show a couple of finals on their livestream (which can't be rewatched later) and a few minutes of highlights on TV. With the Paralympics I noticed my VPN works fine in combination with YouTube, so I have high hopes in being able to watch the World Athletics YT streams after work, when choosing a correct country. Edit: well shit, that list of countries with broadcast rights is rather big, not sure my VPN offers something from a non-listed country..
  16. Too bad, but...Hulkenberg
  17. But what's being 'swept under the rug', exactly? And where? Because I've seen articles in mainstream media in several countries about it the past days.. Surely nobody is expecting this to dominate the major news outlets for days?
  18. And related to this question: when will there be a draw? I want to know who will play in the Netherlands and if there is any chance for a - match, that'd be awesome to go to
  19. Who would expect Russia would just steal them?
  20. I hope there will be some streams there, no way Eurosport is going to show this thing
  21. Nine Dutch athletes in Vuokatti: Alpine skiing Christopher Dijksman (slalom, parallelslalom) Jurre Rissen (slalom, parallelslalom, mixed team parallel event) Noa Rabou (slalom, parallelslalom, mixed team parallel event) Figure skating Dani Loonstra (single event) Short track Zoë Deltrap (500m, 1.000m, 1.500m, mixed relay) Kiek Straathof (500m, 1.000m, 1.500m, mixed relay) Bas van der Valk (500m, 1.000m, 1.500m, mixed relay) Niels Bergsma (500m, 1.000m, 1.500m, mixed relay) Snowboarding Romy van Vreden (slopestyle, big air)
  22. Which makes her Sunday even more impressive: she very clearly was not going full speed in order to manage the gap as good as possible, and right when she was about the be caught, she still had something left to bring it home. Also an excellent final in the men's competition Too bad Lamparter couldn't finish it off, but it was tense until the very end.
