  1. That hare/rabbit trying to escape from all the shooting Thought he survived the hunters in the forest...
  2. One of the well-known problems with doubles is that one needs a partner though, so that's a bit ot tough luck for Arevalo...
  3. Bolivia, although highly unrealistic, would be cool, since one can pretty safely call them one of the worst performing countries in the world in the entire Olympic history (I'd say only Bangladesh is worse) Probably most of them won't win a medal, since none of the countries really have a favourite, but who knows, it'd always be good to see a new country with a medal
  4. Cool, China with a team where three out of the four athletes haven't had an international competition since the Olympics and the other basically never had any serious international competition at all
  5. To be fair, BLR/RUS in Paris is one of the main overall topics in sports at the moment...
  6. And an overall 2,5 billion dollar loss in 2022, also because of Russia. Of course in 2023 they won't have to write off billions more than their income profit in Russian properties, so this year their profit will actually be profit
  7. Sports law? And which kind of things are translated from here into Polish for websites there?
  8. Hello @hckošice! I'm going to count this as ice hockey if we win
  9. Aw, no Somalia this time Do we, Netherlands, have a chance? I mean, for anything? A goal maybe?
  10. That would be fair indeed, and makes it sounds quite interesting. Not a fan of events with entirely separate competitions, where one has to predict them all beforehand anyway
  11. It works for him though, I guess he went hard on the dopamine from his 124 thousand likes, 53 thousand retweets and 35 million views of his tweet
  12. I am really not sure they put the right photo on his profile
  13. Well shit, another major earthquake hit basically the same area 15 minutes ago Yes, another. Not just an aftershock, which is usually weaker, but one of basically the same strength....7.8 was the first one, 7.7 is the one of a few minutes ago. That is very, very bad.
  14. No no no no no don't go posting super moron Frank Hoogerbeets He comes up with hundreds of predictions for terrible earthquakes, based on planets X and Y being in some angle with the sun or some pseudoscience bullshit like that, and now that he finally 'hit' one, he is just basking in the dopamine rush that the likes and retweets are giving him today... Several times a year he comes with some nonsense prediction for a civilization-ending super earthquake and nonsense like that. As the old saying goes: even a broken clock is correct twice a day.
  15. Yeah, same thing here, it's apparently booming among the people who aren't able to play tennis And definitely seen as even more of an elitist sport than tennis. No idea if padel is an option in my town though, I know we have some tennis courts but no idea about padel
  16. Obviously not worse than the many, many deaths, but the over 2000 year old Gaziantep Castle, originally built by the Hittites, has been as good as entirely destroyed.
  17. Yeah, the fact that it's even necessary is of course disgusting, but it's still better than nothing being done I suppose..
  18. And already up to roughly 400 confirmed deaths....this is very much on the way to get into the thousands (yes, plural)... Entire city blocks have been completely demolished, in a time of day where one can assume most people were at home, and in multiple cities with 500k - 2 million inhabitants..
  19. I do agree with the one event per day thing, to be honest. Not for a World Cup, but for a major championship I want to be able to focus on one medal event per day (especially considering biathlon almost starts as well) But yeah, scheduling issues.
  20. Yeah, they really could have planned it better. The first two events should have been done by now. Oh well, nowadays I think at least 80% of what I watch is on-demand instead of live, so I'll be fine
  21. Right. Well, that puts some added pressure on him, now he really can't afford to lose to Van Aert and/or Van der Poel there Can't wait for the spring classics though
  22. Absolutely. Is he injured or something like that? If not, it would kind of feel like he's afraid to face both of them at the same time
  23. Judging by the fact that in the previous 100 races in which they both competed, one of them was the winner 96 times, I'm gonna go ahead and say it's not surprising that one of them will win I believe I saw Toon Aerts managed to beat them both twice, but that's about it. If they both compete, nobody has a realistic chance if they don't run into flat tyres (plural).
  24. RIP our Italian users
