    Good to see most top athletes are skipping it. The Invisible World Cup due to that broadcast rights bullshit, so we're not really missing much it seems

    Absolutely, I meant the 'most medals' thing is a bit of a commentator's hype in a sport where events are added all the time Obviously nobody was going to win 5+ medals in a time when there were 4 events. Winning every single event is the opposite in those terms: more events means it only gets harder and so, purely statistically, is an even better performance.

    Before I start checking results, I'll just ask to be sure: there was no stream or anything of today's men's giant slalom qualifying, right? I don't see it on Eurosport's online stuff, at least. I'd have loved to see all the exotic skiers, but yeah

    That would be a significantly hype-worthy thing, yes Always hard to really compare athletes from different types and with different opposition of course, but stats are stats and it might make for a nice little fun fact

Going to sleep in a few minutes and waking up 4am or so, I can deal with that, but unfortunately tomorrow is the one day per two weeks in which I have to work at the office, so I can't really be falling half asleep after staying up the entire night
