Qualification Tracker

Test

Everything posted by heywoodu

  1. The front teams go slowly, the backmarkers just have a repeat of their individual qualifying. The only teams for whom this is remotely interesting are the teams who are really fighting for those positions around the 15th spot. It should at the very least provide FIS points, since it's simply an individual qualifying race.
  2. Golberg just let a ski glide out onto the track, blocking the way of a few others...
  3. And Brazil with Jaque Mourão and our Bruna Moura Only this week I realized they also have this awful qualifying format instead of regular semi-finals here at the worlds, that sucks badly Kind of takes away most of the enthusiasm of seeing Brazil in the race, since now it's basically just a repeat of the individual sprint qualifying and not a real team effort. Anyhow, vamos.
  4. The classic opening weekend is on Omloop Het Nieuwsblad going on right now, 47km to go.
  5. Now let's see if Slind can do this again next week on Saturday and then in the Vasaloppet one day later as she is planning
  6. Down goes leader Andersson! Back up in time to keep the lead though.
  7. Kalvå casually forgetting to close one of her bindings.
  8. Althaus keeps her head impressively cool
  9. Ugh, competition going pretty smoothly and then for the very last, deciding jumper, the wind is too strong and she has to wait...
  10. Strøm throws away Norway's silver.
  11. This was a fun competition, 5 teams with some form of a medal chance until basically the last group. Nice Germany clearly the best overall indeed.
  12. Early-season Weng was even among the best over 20km, but that has gone for now with her problems
  13. FIS page has it at 11.30 CET now. Gonna be tight, you know, if it happens at all
  14. I would have found it hard to see Sundling as a real medal candidate in the skiathlon, but Weng...too bad she isn't entirely healthy yet and so simply has no choice but to divide her strength, early-season Weng would have had a real chance indeed.
  15. Today I learned Squaw Valley is in California instead of New York or something
  16. Then again, that was the case long long before Russia decided to invade
  17. Happens to the best. By the way, who do you think will win the women's skiathlon tomorrow, Hanna Öberg or Sara Takanashi?
  18. No worries about jinxing, Altimiras is a well established top-30 athlete for a while now In distance events, that is.
  19. To be fair, Urevc's best chance may arguably be in a distance event.
  20. It was really fun talking to Mr Zaccardi, I was really impressed by the amount of questions and information he had already prepared
  21. Whoever has a Jeanne D'Arc in their family wins the battle in my book!
  22. I wonder if Swedish media posted something about it somewhere. I can't find it, but yesterday out of nowhere two unknown (to us) Swedish names donated something on her crowdfunding page, so I wonder where they heard about it
