To be fair, there isn't much to see for the past 45 minutes or so
I've switched to ice hockey on TV, the cross-country is just a formality now and can go on the small screen.
I am guessing commentators everywhere call them Russians anyway, yes. Except for probably those English Eurosport commentators who read all their things from their little fact sheets I am 99% sure they go with "Russian Olympic Committee athletes" or something
That was an excellent attempt by Schmid! But just shy.
And Strolz does it, three golds in three events, and today gold after losing every single one of his races
That didn't work great, although putting Shiffrin on red does seem like the US's best move in this case.
Edit: never mind, forgot about the added times thingy
We had Japan as main favourite in the women's team pursuit, Canada as clear silver favourite and the Netherlands as clear bronze favourite. That event seemed pretty straightforward from the get-go, were it not for Takagi's fall
Especially biathlon, where basically anyone who has a chance in a certain event has a chance in every single event. Unlike cross-country skiing (a little, but much less) and definitely way unlike speed skating.
That's not to say I want fewer events, by the way
Because those that are good in speed skating want to, well, stay good in speed skating
And ice hockey is so tiny here, nobody really cares...you know, with some small exceptions of course.
