Denmark has this disaster: Better stuff from Sweden:

It feels more and more like Trump just wants to watch his own country burn! Yet only very few republicans have found the guts to go against him in the first half year (and most even very half-hearted)

1. Which two teams will reach the final – and who will win? beats 2. Who will win the Golden Boot? Ciro Immobile 3. Who will be the surprise team of the tournament? I think the closest to an upset is Denmark. All other quarter final teams are pretty much the usual. 4. Who will be the breakthrough player of the tournament? Pedri 5. How far will England, Scotland and Wales get? (that is original Guardian question - but I would rather ask you: How far will your national team (or a team you support the most) get? Denmark will make it to the quarter finals. We may make it to the semi but I think we'll be eliminated by or 6. What are you most looking forward to, on or off the pitch? Watching the game against Russia on big screen at the local stadium. 7. What are you most concerned about, on or off the pitch? Covid making more of an impact than it has already.

Have to admit that it feels a bit slow for me as well. With the pandemic the hype of the home games died a bit for me as it has really been treated too much like Copenhagen's event and not an event for all the country as it was originally though (sure the games are in Copenhagen but suddenly the government started making special rules for 2 specific big screen events in Copenhagen while the rest of the country just had to make the best out of it with stricter rules). Meanwhile it doesn't even sound like the hype has hit Copenhagen even with the first home field match tomorrow. I even managed to get booked for the same time as - meaning that I'll miss half that game. I'm sure things will start waking up today with the start of the championships and with a Danish team with the best chances of a top result since 1998 (I would guess) it is getting very interesting when we actually get started.

After vaccinating everybody above 50 they've gone with the oldest and youngest as the youngest are more active meaning that 10-19 and 20-29 are the age groups that has seen the most positive tests. After most people in risk of severe cases has been vaccinated it has been just as much about getting lowering the number of infections which is more effective among the youngest. I am however considering requesting a Johnson&Johnson vaccine from the voluntary program. It's pretty slow (some 2000 getting it a day compared to more than 70.000 others vaccinated a day the last few days) but it seems to be working out.

I'm from 1991 and will by all means be the very last person to be invited... The last people in my group (1987-1991) are expected to be invited in about 2 months (and I'm expecting them to start with the oldest). The penultimate group (1982-1986 and 1997-2001) is expected to start getting invited within a week.

Denmark will now be allowing 25.000 at Parken. It won't be possible for the first game but work is under way to allow more at the 3 other games!

I've really got the feeling that we'll miss out. Would be heart breaking after we've been in the Olympic spots throughout pretty much all the qualification even with a concussion for Sook and Lærke having a bit of injuries too!

Would guess that it's a matter of official confirmation. BWF states the following: "Players presently shown in positions above 34 are subject to confirmation of the final number of Tripartite Commission positions and hosts positions, and also subject to final confirmation of the reallocation process for players in more than one event." Sarosi is no. 31 while Krausz is no. 38 meaning that his spot may be awaiting official confirmation.

Well, some host cities are looking forward to athletes visiting! Here's Ogata who'll be hosting the Danish rowers from june 22.

Sebastian Terteryan was so damn close to an upset yesterday. Fingers crossed for his brother and Givskov today. They're not supposed to peak before 2024 but would be some lovely experience for them!

3 events - Athletics (all events but men's 100m - yeah, I'm that guy!), mountain bike and track cycling 3 countries - Would it be fair to select when Denmark is afterall my main country?
