  1. if the WADA boss was Italian, Sinner would have been banned for 4 years...I'm pretty sure our politicians always sell us everyday for their personal interest...
  2. no, that was just a true farce comparable to Paquillo Fernandez's or all the other improbable (to say the least) excuses I've read here and there through the years I had to take care of my mom who had breast cancer first and then the fatal leukemia and I can tell you that it's absolutely impossible that she ended up with her mom's cancer medicines in her soup (or whatever it was)...there's no way you handle those things with such level of superficiality
  4. I don't have enough infos about her case, so I just can't say anything I can only hope that they ruled it correctly
  5. please, stop making comparison between Sharapova and (above all) Halep's cases and this Sinner's farce this is just a political fight between WADA and ITIA and many other sports and political institutions even WADA had to officially admit in a written statement that it's NOT about doping, but just an assumption of responsibility for other people in Sinner's staff and it's so absurd that in fact they already changed the rules and a fact like this is no longer subject to any sanction and this is a fact, independently of what people might think about the whole actual story behind all the things we know (I'm the first one to think that Sinner is not so "innocent", because I know very well the Clostebol history and usage) but Sharapova and Halep were caught intentionally and consciously using banned substances. Point. they are true cheaters that deserve any single day of their ban (actually, Halep used a medicine reserved only for people diagnosed with a fatal illness, available only in the oncological department of an hospital because of the enormous counter-indications it has for the people who have no other option but using it to save their life)
  6. yeah, the German TV made a different choice this year, limiting their broadcast to the National territory (it was written on screen when I first tried to watch without the VPN) frankly, it shouldn't happen anymore, especially after the European Court Ruling about the streaming rights, which should be unique to the entire EU but it seems that most tv networks don't care about it and still put their pictures behind all sort of walls
  7. yes, of course (sorry for the late answer)
  8. the "serious" stint of the meet has just started

  10. women's Long Jump: Larissa Iapichino, 6m86cm in her season's debut in Padua it's her best opener ever and the 3rd best measure of the year so far (WL is held by Mihambo with 7m07cm)
  11. Alessia Succo 8.07 over the girls' 60m Hurdles, which is a new U-18 World record (previously held by Cyrena Samba-Mayela with 8.10)
  12. women's youth sprinting on fire! earlier Today, Lisa Raye (born January 2008) improved the U-18 World Record over the 60m dash, clocking an unbelievable 7.13 in the same race, Melanie Doggett (class of 2011 ) ran the distance in 7.17 secs, also below the old WR mark (Shawnty Jackson, 7.18) meanwhile in Italy, Kelly Ann Doualla (15 years young) improved herself up to 7.19 (European U-18 and U-20 record, just 1/100 shy of the old U-18 WR mark)
  13. what? you can normally ski on tougher courses in the Europa/Nor-Am Cup it's the 3rd time in a row that a major DH (and Super-G) medal course is absolutely unworthy (2022 OG, 2023 and Today's WCh) luckily, in Beijing it was Suter ahead of Goggia saving the dignity of the final standing, but the last 2 world champs, man! gold to people with 0 world cup wins (and a loughable number of podiums)...it might be the beauty of the sport, but it's also something that shouldn't happen this often the Italians are simply not good enough at this kind of game, they're used to train and race on different kind of tracks (and snow) and it was clear since the first training run that they didn't stand a chance on this course (I don't know how Brignone could end up with silver in Super-G, especially that kind of "Super-G for beginners")
  14. in Cortina she wouldn't stand a chance in any case she can focus on the snowboard PGS without regret
  15. thanks, very interesting
  16. yes, it is, but FIS doesn't want to go that deep

CRAWFORD James, 1:43.72 --- 40. PARIS Dominik, 1:44.58
  18. with Today's run, Nicol Delago should have earned herself a place in Saturday's DH, as she clearly beat Curtoni and Bassino in the direct matchup Goggia, Brignone and Pirovano were already selected
  19. women's DH, 2nd Training Run 1. PUCHNER Mirjam, 1:42.30 2. JOHNSON Breezy, 1:43.03 3. DELAGO Nicol, 1:43.18 4. GUT-BEHRAMI Lara, 1:43.33 5. SUTER Corinne, 1:43.50 6. LEDECKA Ester, 1:43.94 --- 24. BRIGNONE Federica, 1:44.84 --- 29. VONN Lindsey, 1:45.43
  20. once again, a track not suited for a world championship title...
  21. women's DH, 1st Training 1. GUT-BEHRAMI Lara, 1:43.92 2. JOHNSON Breezy, 1:43.97 3. BRIGNONE Federica, 1:44.55 4. AICHER Emma, 1:44.69 5. GOGGIA Sofia, 1:44.71 6. PUCHNER Mirjam, 1:44.78 7. SUTER Corinne, 1:45.87 --- 18. LEDECKA Ester, 1:46.11 --- 20. VONN Lindsey, 1:46.16
  22. yes, the Tokyo and Paris grand slam tournaments, which are held on 2 days only, always have this problem... both BMM are held simultaneously on 2 different mats and only one (the GMM's) is covered by the TV broadcast it's a shame that the 2 most important tournaments of the year (global championships aside) have this unfriendly setup
  23. it's all live (and free) on FIS TV here: https://watch.fis-ski.com/section/UPCOMING SCHEDULE
  24. I think it's all about politics and the new Federation's executive board
