  1. so, according to our friend @MHSN advice, this should be the current Continental Quota recap after all has been fixed... Europe (European Games Minsk 2019) Stanislav Horuna, men's kumite -75kg (but, according to the 10 athletes per weight limit and to the order of choice of those who're going to fill the list of qualified athletes, he should be replaced by Asiman Gurbanli, men's kumite +75kg, as there are already more than 2 fighters from other Continents in qualifying position in the same class, who come before Europe in the order of choice)... Silvia Semeraro, women's kumite +61kg Americas (Panamerican Games Lima 2019) Alexandra Grande, women's kumite -61kg Brian Irr, men's kumite +75kg Andres Madera Delgado, men's kumite -67kg Oceania (OQR) Tsuneari Yahiro, men's kumite -75kg Alexandrea Anacan, women's kata Asia (OQR) Dastonbek Otabolaev, men's kumite -75kg (same situation as Horuna in Europe, as Oceania and Africa come before Asia in the order of choice...so, he should be replaced by Sadriddin Saymatov, men's kumite -67kg) Travat Khaksar, women's kumite -55kg Africa (OQR) Radwa Sayed, women's kumite -55kg Abdalla Mamduh Abdelaziz, men's kumite -75kg Btissam Sadini, women's kumite -61kg so, if this list is finally the correct one, the 4 spots reserved for the Tripartite Commission wild cards are: 2 in the men's Kata and 1 in the women's Kata + 1 in the women's Kumite +68kg...
  2. yes, according to the official qualification document on the wkf website the only 2 continental events to be considered are the European Games and the Pan-Am Games, all the other Continents would go down to the OQR... meanwhile you're right about the order of selection of the 3rd African and American picks...I just stopped reading too early... and I agree on 100% on your final thought...this is not a good qualification system at all... p.s. men's kata could be in contention if the Moroccan guy can climbs a few spots in the ranking...however, it could be that those places will be used for the tripartite commission spots (we have 2 male and 2 female of those to be distributed in any case)... p.p.s. I just noticed that also Otabolaev is exceeding the 10-man limit in the men's -75kg (Oceania and Africa -now with a men's 75kg guy after you made me notice that 1 athlete per gender must be picked in every continent, also those with 3 spots available- coming before Asia in the order of choice)...so, I had to go with the next Asian guy in the rankings, but in a different weight class (luckily for UZB, he's still one of them)...
  3. women's Wrestling, day #3 semifinals -50kg: Yui Susaki vs Lucia Yamileth Yepez Guzman / Daria Khvostova vs Natallia Varakina -55kg: Ekaterina Verbina vs Saki Igarashi / Patrycja Gil vs Anastasia Blayvas -59kg: Kateryna Zelenykh vs Anastasia Nichita / Morena De Vita vs Sae Nanjo -68kg: Jayden Leigh Lurent vs Meerim Zhumanazarova / Ewelina Weronika Ciunek vs Naruha Matsuyuki -76kg: Jiang Qian vs Milaimys de la Caridad Marin Potrille / Chang Hui Tsz vs Bernadett Nagy
  4. so, here we have a quick recap of the current distribution of Continental quota: Europe (European Games Minsk 2019) Stanislav Horuna, men's kumite -75kg (but, according to the 10 athletes per weight limit and to the order of choice of those who're going to fill the list of qualified athletes, he should be replaced by Asiman Gurbanli, men's kumite +75kg, as there are already more than 2 fighters from other Continents in qualifying position in the same class, who come before Europe in the order of choice)... Silvia Semeraro, women's kumite +61kg Americas (Panamerican Games Lima 2019) Alexandra Grande, women's kumite -61kg Brian Irr, men's kumite +75kg Valeria Kumizaki, women's kumite -55kg Oceania (OQR) Tsuneari Yahiro, men's kumite -75kg Alexandrea Anacan, women's kata Asia (OQR) Dastonbek Otabolaev, men's kumite -75kg Travat Khaksar, women's kumite -55kg (same situation as Horuna in Europe...so, she should be replaced by Rozita Alipour, women's kumite -61kg)... Africa (OQR) Radwa Sayed, women's kumite -55kg Feryal Abdelaziz, women's kumite +61kg Adnane Elhakimi, men's kata (because of the rules of "at least 2 different NOCs" and "at least 1 athlete per gender"...otherwise he has 2 more Egyptians better placed than him -but below both Sayed and Abdelaziz in the women's divisions- and also his compatriot Btissam Sadini in the women's kumite -61kg has the same placing and more points than him in the OQR)...
  5. following the conclusion of the Pan-American Games in Lima, the 3 provisional PKF Continental quota among the Lima 2019 champions would go to: Alexandra Grande, currently 6th in the women's -61kg Brian Irr, currently 18th in the men's +75kg Valeria Kumizaki, currently 21st in the women's -55kg meanwhile Antonio Diaz (men's kata), Sakura Kokumai (women's kata) and Thomas Scott (men's kumite -75kg) are not to be considered at the moment, as they are still in qualifying position through the OQR... p.s. luckily for Italy, the women's +61kg class is not involved...
  6. yes, it counts for the OQR (and with major points)... points 1.3 and 1.4 of this document https://www.triathlon.org/uploads/docs/itusport_2018-individual-oq-ranking_20171210.pdf
  7. men's Freestyle Wrestling, day #2 medallists -57kg Gold: Toshiya Abe Silver: Vitali Arujau Bronze: Adlan Askarov & Akhmed Idrisov -65kg Gold: Amirhossein Maghsoudi Silver: Kurban Shiraev Bronze: Turan Bayramov & Syrbaz Talgat -70kg Gold: Erik Arushanian Silver: Vasile Diacon Bronze: Mohmmadsadegh Firouzpour & Alan Kudzoev -79kg Gold: Amkhad Tashukhadzhiev Silver: Bagrati Gagnidze Bronze: Abubakr Abakarov & Milan Mester -97kg Gold: Abbas Foroutan Silver: Yonger Pauli Bastida Pomares Bronze: Makhsud Veysalov & Feyzullah Akturk men's Freestyle Wrestling, day #3 finals -61kg: Kaiki Yamaguchi vs Andrii Dzhelep -74kg: Jintaro Motoyama vs David Aaron Carr -86kg: Alik Shebzhukov vs Deepak Punia -92kg: Alan Bagaev vs Lucas John Davison -125kg: Amir Zare vs Mason Mark Parris
  8. @MHSN not a very good day for Iran, I fear...only 1 guy making the semifinals is a very poor result... on the other side, USA have all 5 of their wrestlers from today in the semis...
  9. men's Freestyle Wrestling, day #2 semifinals... -61kg: Gabriel Robert Tagg vs Kaiki Yamaguchi / Andrii Dzhelep vs Asgar Mammadaliyev -74kg: Bat-Erdene Byambasuren vs Jintaro Motoyama / David Aaron Carr vs Khadzhimurad Gadzhiyev -86kg: Alik Shebzhukov vs Trent Niemond Hidlay / Deepak Punia vs Miriani Maisuradze -92kg: Ertugrul Agca vs Alan Bagaev / Lucas John Davison vs Batmagnai Enkhtuvshin -125kg: Amir Zare vs Alen Khubulov / Mason Mark Parris vs Pasa Ekrem Karabulut
  10. Men's Boulder Final Result Gold: Tomoa Narasaki Silver: Jakob Schubert Bronze: Yannick Flohè 4th, Kokoro Fujii 5th, Keita Dohi 6th, Adam Ondra Full Competition Final Ranking https://www.ifsc-climbing.org/index.php/world-competition#!comp=8253&cat=6
  11. and also among the men, the course setters have been very harsh to the climbers, with at least 2 routes (especially the last one) almost impossible... once again, why killing the show like that?
  12. Women's Boulder Final Result Gold: Janja Garnbret Silver: Akiyo Noguchi Bronze: Shauna Coxsey 4th, Ievgeniia Kazbekova 5th, Miho Nonaka 6th, Nanako Kura Full Competition Final Ranking https://www.ifsc-climbing.org/index.php/world-competition#!comp=8253&cat=5&route=-1
  13. luckily, the stream has gone...but only after the competition's over...
  14. Noguchi's dream lasted very few seconds...Janja was so quick to reach the top in this last route...what a champion! what a woman!
  15. easy top for Noguchi! medal for the host Nation! and bitter 4th place for Ukraine... now's the time...Janja or Akiyo? 4 minutes (or less) to know...
  16. Kazbekova doesn't seem to have any clue to complete this route... still, she's currently on the bronze medal seat...she must hope that Noguchi doesn't beat her with the last attempt...
  17. I'm not a climber at all... but Lead is definitely my favourite discipline in Sport Climbing...
  18. I fear that if you don't make it with the first attempt, there's a high risk of getting arms and legs burning too much to succeed with the following attempts...
  19. right now, Japan are out of the medals despite having 3 girls out of 6 in the final!
  20. I like this route... and Coxsey is on top! and on top of the ranking!!! now pressure is growing for Janja...
  21. game not over yet... we still have a theoretical competition also for the Gold medal...
  22. luckily here it's 11 a.m. definitely more manageable... and now, Janja going for the strangle...should she make the top, the Gold is already mathematical hers before the last route (not that I think anybody can beat her today)...
  23. and Ukraine is also on top! and currently on the provisional podium...
