  3. gone! Busà also makes it through to the bronze medal match... definitely a day ending on a very high note for Italy...
  4. today has been one of the most successful days for Italy in the last 10 years or so... Crescenzo, Maresca, cardin and the men's team Kata all reaching the gold medal match... plus the youngster Brunori losing only to Cardin in the semifinal of the women's -55kg (therefore reaching the bronze medal match) and Busà leading 2-0 over Asiabari in the last repechage match (30 secs to go), which means he would also reach the bronze medal match if he wins...
  5. Moroccan Abdelhaq Nadir qualify in the men's -63kg class by robbing Fiston Mbaya Mulumba thanks to a shameful decision in the box-off... I'm more than disgusted...that's pure cheating AIBA-style...
  6. Women's 10m Air Pistol Gold: Bobana Velickovic Momcilovic Silver: Heidi Diethelm Gerber Bronze: Anna Korakaki Olympic Quota: Austria, Bulgaria
  7. Mixed Team 10m Air Rifle Gold: Russia (Yulia Karimova & Vladimir Maslenikov) Silver: Hungary (Eszter Denes & Istvan Peni) Bronze: Croatia (Estera Herceg & Miran Maricic)
  8. Ghana qualify by winning the men's -52kg box-off... Mozambique's Maquina will have to watch the Games only on TV...
  9. very sad and unfair situation... hopefully, Moradi can pull out a miracle at Asian Champs (but are we sure that they will be held sometimes somewhere? )... but I don't think China would leave Tian out of their Olympic team, especially if this means no Moradi in the starting field of the Olympic event... in the end, i think China will make 4 "utilitaristic" picks, choosing 4 weight classes where they are a safe Gold (meaning that most likely they won't challenge Om in the -61kg, as I'm pretty sure Om would eventually show up with monster lifts also in that class in Tokyo, even if so far he hasn't been impressive at all in this class)...
  10. oh, yes...obviously if you don't go below 4 mins on 4 kms you can't be faster than 60km/h... still, it's always amazing how he goes faster and faster in the later stages of his effort... p.s. mybe tonight he goes under the 4-min mark...
  11. 61.5Km/h on average!
  12. by the way, Italy have the best team score in the qualification round... maybe we can win a medal also in the team event on Sunday (it's not really important, but it's always nice)...
  13. because I'm normally always pessimistic, but in these days I'm even more than usual (for personal reasons)... maybe I'm just superstitious...or maybe not...
  14. Men's 10m Air Pistol, Shooters qualified to the Final Artem Chernousov Ismail Keles Paolo Monna* Damir Mikec Robin Walter* Frederik Larsen* Lauris Strautmanis* Juraj Tuzinsky* * = in the hunt for 2 Olympic Quota available today...
  15. way too many contenders...no chance for
  16. they can postpone them, too... actually, I bet on some kind of troubles for them since now...
  17. no surprises here... and I'm happy they're destroying physically and mentally Hifumi Abe and Joshiro Maruyama in the men's -66kg... I hope their epic fight for the Olympic spot continues until the last useful day, so to have them completely dead and gone in the actual Olympic tournament...
  18. still no sign of the Junior Team events results...

  22. I think they're running out of options... and I don't think they can still keep the date, as 1 week notice is really a short period... let's see if later today or tomorrow they release an official statement... however, in may there are still world cup stages on schedule, so they could use them to replace this weekend's even if they are outside the original OQP...
  23. I absolutely agree... that's not serious by UCI... there are a few international federations that have live streaming also for the cadets and junior events, and this buch of *beep* can't even cover properly the senior world champs... p.s. not to mention the mess they do when they have coverage...any referral to the finish of yesterday's men's scratch race is purely intentional...
