  1. It happens because high and cold mountains are close to considerably warmer sea. And that is especially crazy under the Velebit mountain. Official strongest measured gust was 248km/h. However, there is also an unofficial record of 307km/h from 2003. It's unofficial because instruments that measured it were not designed for such strong gusts.
  2. It's all a thing of perspective. Here on Croatian coast winds of 180-200km/h are completely normal occurance for the winter.
  3. Maybe he doesn't get notifications for mentioning?
  4. Any news about Spanish entry? That's the one I'm worried about.
  5. I wonder if there is some alternative way to say "start".
  6. Another delay. Just use the stopwatch already...
  7. Yes, do that for heywoodu's sake.
  8. Forget NASCAR, you have to find a song for TISC!
  9. Yes, that movie is quite playful. Also with Jimmy Stewart in the leading role, amazing actor. I have listed all 4 of his Hitchcock movies in my favourites.
  10. Lately I've been enjoying Hitchcock movies. I mean, I've liked them for a while, but recently I also started watching a bunch of his less known films. However, when I mention Hitchcock movies to someone I usually get a response: "I don't care for old movies." I used to think the same. Boy, I was so wrong. Anyway, my favourite Hitchcock is probably Vertigo. Followed by Rear Window, Shadow of a Doubt, Rope, Psycho, North by Northwest, The Man Who Knew Too Much and Family Plot (not necessarily in that order). I liked a lot of them really.
  11. Go Hinriksdottir!
  12. And who is that load of fun?
  13. What an excellent result for Latvian relay.
  14. At luge test events they had Korean kids waving various flags.
  15. Aaaaand, that' the slowest time of second run...
  16. It's hard to say. He will be 18 in 2020, so right on the bubble of the usual retiring age. However, they did start to compete on the highest level when he was 11-12, so later than usual age. But, like in everything else, age is just a number. Most of all it depends how fit he is by then. I'd say there is overall a very solid chance fot Tokyo.
  17. Looking good too for Omaha in a couple of weeks. After Rio she completely changed her freestyle's floorplan and music. Litterally went from having one of the easier floorplans to having one of the hardest, if not the hardest. Great potential for some high scores with that.
  18. Our skiers are always good on a very soft snow. Wonderful run for Vidović and for the first time he makes the second run. About damn time. He is winning races on European Cup and beating some guys who regularly earn WC points, if not top 10 finishes...
  19. @OlympicIRL Judy Reynolds won the big Signal Iduna Cup freestyle in Dortmund yesterday, first 5* victory. Quite a moment to see Irish anthemn being played in front of few thousand spectators, as it's the case in Germany.
  20. Looks like something for TISC history books, with so many late entries.
  21. Wow, congrats Volko and SVK I had no idea Slovakia has sprinters.
  22. Aaaand it's gone.
  23. Three Swedes in men's 60m final. Now, you don't see that very often.
