Controversy alert!
FEI made a change to the list of dressage qualifying events on October 31st update. As you can see HERE, they have removed the events which didn't have any 5* judges on the panel. These events no longer count for Olympic rankings, so for example Nicholas Wagner lost some points.
That is all fine and dandy. HOWEVER, they didn't do a very good job when removing such ineligible events. Ukraine hosted a whole bunch of events with no 5* judges, and yet these events were not removed (for now):
CDI-W Zhashkiv (1-3 March)
CDI-W Zhashkiv (8-10 March)
CDI-W Kiev (10-12 May)
CDI-W Kharkiv (13-15 September)
This inconsistency massively influences Olympic rankings. If these were removed, Inna Logutenkova stands to lose almost 500 points! Aaaand... Removing these events would put Michael Bugan into Olympic qualifcation position instead.
I am taking this to public if it doesn't get fixed in the upcoming days, come hell or high water.
