Yeah, my bigger 'concern' with China is whether they perform on the very highest stage. They've always put fast times down in domestic meets but not always collectively performed on the international stage (they've always had a couple of stars who've performed, but not necessarily the team as a whole).
 
If they can solve that problem on a consistent basis, they are a force to be reckoned with.

It'd be great to not have that line at all. As in, for the love of God just remove that graphic from the screen, it takes away so much tension and excitement  
 
By the way, interesting to think Biedermann's world record was only barely faster than Thorpe's previous world records (plural), but somehow after that, it stopped entirely. Thorpe was well before the annoying super suit, wasn't he?

Peaty is the best chance for GB and Qin could burst or bust.
 

Could be a risk not peaking at trials and holding that taper until Paris.
But then again, I do not see any 3rd Australian challenging, therefore Short could still go 3.45 and still take the second spot.
 
As for the Women's 100M Free at the trials,they all need to be at their peak!

Pan Zhanle not going away. 46.97 in the 100 free final at Chinese trials.

Yang Junxuan just went 52.68 in the 100 free at Chinese trials so the mixed and women's medleys are looking even stronger. The mixed medley in particular now has no weak legs.
 

Can't wait to finish in 4th place in all the women's relays!!! 

I'm already surprised she is planning to even run anything at all

True, but Tang could feasibly split 1:03 which compensates for their backstroke disadvantage. We'll see how weak their 100 back is tonight. The thing about the Chinese women's medley relay in recent times is they tend to underperform so maybe they will again. If China does push its way onto the podium it likely means Australia or Canada has been pushed off.
