    Bad example there for South Africa btw with their 3rd man being ranked 101st Indeed even GB’s 3rd man is ranked 68th The only players from inside the top 50 to miss out are from either the USA or Korea and 4 Americans already qualify. All in all, that’s a decent system

    Jumping may be more popular but as it has its own event, and the best jumpers are there, the jumping in eventing always seems a much lower standard Where as the cross country is its unique selling point

    They didn’t really have them to be fair. Different for women where the difference isn’t so pronounced but lightweight men has never been a focus for the big nations (with respect to Italy)
