Yeah. Although rats get a bad name, it is actually prairie dogs/marmosets who are the prime incubators of the fleas, and rats are the cheap motels of the flea world.

OK, I'm sure that this isn't anything to worry about. California is one of the richest places in the World. It's not like it's crammed full of penniless unwashed homeless people, or piles of discarded trash or infested with rats or any of the other typical vectors of rapid transmission of the Black Death. Just will point out that about six weeks ago this same Filip Nowacki made his debut here on Totallympics, swimming in a 25m local authority pool, competing for Jersey in the Island Games along with Orkney, Menorca, the Falkland Islands etc! You just never know where a great talent is going to first emerge! All these small multi-sport games do sometimes kick up a superstar of the future!
