    Here in Eurosport are adding their extra channels to the Sky Satellite & Virgin Cable channels on Tuesday. Those will give you pretty much 100% coverage of the Games, unless you have a pressing need for the four simultaneous curling & the two simultaneous hockey streams.

    British rowing legend Steve Redgrave also won Gold after a diabetes diagnosis. There is, or was, an American all-diabetic pro cycling team we saw sometimes when the World Tour visited the US. Also an American cross country skier, can’t remember who. So no need to be in despair.

    Blowing a gale in Bavaria, going to make for some exciting shooting visits. Emelian Claude the only one to deal with it. Sheer luck for Aspenes, he gets 30 seconds of calm & everyone else gets a gale.

    Duplantis starts of his year at 6.02, very easy. Going for 6.19! His WR of 6.18 was set in Glasgow 2020, pretty much the last major meet before the Martian invasion.

    Quality is extremely variable. Given that they are mostly & tennis, rugby & cricket commentators in their day jobs, I wouldn’t get my hopes up. Even the won’t be great beyond hockey & curling.

New format for the field events is: All jumps count All athletes jump five rounds Only three athletes jump the 6th round Leading athlete in 6th round jumps first so is actually disadvantaged Featured Events this year are: Women: 400m, 1500m, 60m hurdles, high jump, long jump Men: 60m, 800m, 3000m/5000m, pole vault, triple jump, shot put

I hadn’t heard the phrase “catch as catch can” wrestling for decades, but according to Wikipedia it is the Olympic ancestor of modern Pro Wrestling.
