  1. 5 WJRs, 7 gold, 15 medals, what an unbelievable performance by the Canadian team!
  2. Not happy with women's canoeing just for the sake of adding it, but the possibiity of 2 gold medals is hard to get mad at.
  3. Very bad indeed. This is the worst I have ever seen the men's team. Besides Acevado there might be a surprise or two. Also there is Condorelli who may or may not come back to the national team. This is in stark contrast from the peak times in 2005-2012, where Canada won medals in sprints/long distance and relays at the WC's and Olympics.
  4. With Canada's loss (and likely losses to both Argentina and Venezuela) both the defending gold and silver medalists from the Pan American Games will not be back to defend their titles in 2019.
  5. oops lol. My bad.
  6. I am pretty sure Mongolia doesn't have the funds to be buying athletes...
  7. Women's canoeing is benefiting one nation quite well
  8. Another event with Canadians getting sick with a virus
  9. Canada second gold
  10. 6 men's events finished, 6 different countries winning gold.
  11. Canada’s final time was 7:51.47, a World Junior Record by a five seconds, and the junior foursome swam also four seconds quicker than the Canadian team did on the way to an eighth-place squad swam at the World Championships last month -wow
  12. won the 4x200 by 6 seconds!! And a new world junior record! Taylor Ruck also with a world junior record in the women's 100m back. Just amazing.
  13. Two medals now!
  14. on the board with a bronze!!
  15. Scratch that, Penny Oleksiak doesn't appear to be competing, even though she was named to the team.
  16. Canada roster for AmeriCup: http://www.sportsnet.ca/basketball/nba/canada-basketball-announces-smnt-roster-upcoming-americup/ A mix of an A and B team (mostly B :P)
  17. These should in theory be Canada's best ever Swimming championships (either junior or senior).
  18. Well without a certain thing....
  19. Samuel Girard and Kim Boutin are first members of team for PyeongChang 2018
  20. Another attack... this time in Turku, Finland. I wonder when Europe will decide enough is enough of this and actually implement steps to preventing it.
  21. Can't believe they have hockey competitions here, its nice to see it in such a warm country
  22. They are top 2 in South America based on performance at the Pan Am Cup, so if they repeat that performance at the 2018 South American Games then they will qualify. T/T is almost guaranteed a spot, so I wonder if they will send their best team to the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games, which if they don't then we might see them fall out of the top 2.
  23. Men: are guaranteed a spot at the 2019 Pan Am Games in Peru. For women
  24. http://www.cbc.ca/sports/olympics/russia-doping-lumsden-girard-1.4243509 When will the IOC grow a set and ban this country from the Olympics? Its sickening to see Canadian athletes work so hard and be robbed by Russian dopers!!
