How many times has Veszprem made the Final 4 without winning it now?
-
Marcus Ericsson finished 2nd in the second Detroit race. Felix Rosenqvist had a big crash late on while running in Top 6.
-
Roy Keane was never a fan favorite outside Old Trafford. It could have been worse if that was Vinny Jones IMO
-
Half-time in Italy - Poland and it's 1-0.
We still haven't scored any goals outside of the Tahiti tourists. Two shots in total in the first half...

I think it should be the captain, yet after his last words I doubt he will be chosen.
Kurek is still more popular than Kubiak though

For those who don't know - Keane ended Haaland's father's career like this
That's incorrect. Halaand already had severe issues with the other knee and would have stopped playing soon afterwards regardless of this tackle. Plus he was the one who mocked Keane and accused him of faking when Kean tore his ACL back in 1997.

Due to the curse of Polish flagbearer (very rarely our flagbearer gets a medal at the Olympics) I'd like it to be Paweł Spisak - we don't have a chance for a medal in eventing anyway, and it will be his fifth Olympics, which is quite a big achievement in Poland. But to be honest Piotr Małachowski deserves it the most - twice Olympic silver and a big heart - he started the tradition of charity auction at the Polish Sport Champions Ball, an annual event at the Sportsman of the Year gala, giving away his diamonds from Diamond League. But still I wish him that Olympic gold, for which he needs to be in a lifetime shape just a step before his retirement.
I have a feeling it will be one of the volleyball players

Yeah but the fact that the Giro is the Giro doesn't make it exciting by definition
Carapaz basically got the lead from Roglic/Nibali's non-actions and from then on there was basically not a single moment anymore where he seemed to be under serious threat. Landa didn't have the freedom to go all-out, Movistar as a whole was just way too strong for any challenger, Roglic was a bit disappointing, Yates was terribly disappointing, Dumoulin was out before it really started, Bernal was literally out before it started, half the potentially good climbs ended with nobody doing anything. Meh.
I believe Nibali & Roglic were paying too much attention to each other and let Carapaz fly under the radar. And he proved too strong not to lose that 90 sec. lead he build at the start of the final week. Quite frankly Nibali needed a solo stage attack where he puts distance between himself & everyone. That never happened. Was he waiting for Carapaz to collapse?

Nairo Quintana hates you now
I don't follow this steroids sport full-time. Completely forgot Quintana still exists

Carapaz is the first Grand Tour winner from South America since Luis Herrera?
Rafal Majka in 6th place overall

I see BBC has dived deep into the England hype - imagine the God damn hype again - so no coverage on Eurosport anymore.
But there will be one on TVP Sport and I hope the two female experts from ES will be present there (it's like I only heard two of them during all these years).
-
The parallel "integrity" bullshit will be quickly dropped once the event stretches beyond window TV stations are willing to accept. Do I see these events taking a lot longer now with the additional quals? Unless they will limit these events to one-gender only or just don't broadcast the qual runs at all.

Yep.
Well Nadal has won Wimbledon twice, so he is probably the best Spaniard on grass.
Overall maybe yes but they played on grass once and Lopez won
-
That's Feliciano Lopez, right? He must be the one Spaniard who was doing good on grass over the years?

Adrian Meronk finished 3rd in the Czech Challenge in Brno this weekend (his third Top 10 finish in 5 Challenge Tour events this season) and sits 6th in the CT rankings. Currently #404 in the world. So this is where we stand in this sport Unlike Czechoslovakia we completely abandoned golf during the communist regime.

Wait, what's the source? So far all I find is Reichelt having been questioned (unconfirmed about what) and the Austrian skiing federation saying they have no information about anything suspect (which is exactly the opposite of how they acted in the XC worlds).
Reichelt will be 39 in five weeks. He might as well retire now. It's a surprise he kept going for so long but he missed 2 WOG due to injury.

This is bullshit. Our team consists from German Regionalliga "talents" and we'll probably get beat by Senegal and pray the five goals vs Tahiti will help us to advance from 3rd place. Other than the GK Majecki we have nobody out there who stands a chance to remain in the spotlight for the next 15 years. CB Walukiewicz will join Cagliari from next season but I doubt he makes immediate impact. 21yo centre-backs making noise in Italian Serie A? That's a stretch.

Raptors bench stepped it up but they still have to somehow win in Milwaukee. If this series goes seven games, it could be a GSW rout in the finals tbh.

He was in poor health ever since the pneumonia / lung transplant last year. It was a bit of a miracle he survived it.

Who would you like to be your nation's flagbearer at Tokyo 2020?
in Summer Olympic Games Tokyo 2020

Of course she is an Olympic Champion I still remember Martin Lopez Zubero too but don't remember if Spain has ever won more golds in swimming.
In Poland there is a well-publicized curse of the flagbearer, since Waldemar Baszanowski won two golds in 1964 & 1968 (he was a FB also in 1972!) the athletes carrying the flag has won only one medal (Waldemar Legien gold in 1992).
