  1. Nika Prevc is the Junior World Champion. Taja Bodlaj silver and Alexandria Loutitt with another bronze medal this winter Tamara Mesikova finished 25th just ahead of best Natalia Slowik @hckoĆĄice
  2. Nika Prevc lead Taja Bodlaj after the 1st round of women's competition.
  3. Roman Abramovich says he will sell Chelsea FC. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/60585081
  4. The team won't be expelled per se, they pulled the Uralkali sponsors brands during the last day of testing and they can always draft a test driver in place of Mazepin (currently Pietro Fittipaldi). The bigger question is whether the team could survive without a title sponsor. The most logical answer would be "no" hence team would collapse on its own unless they can find a last-minute replacement.
  5. Nika Prevc won both training rounds today again - by a large margin considering she jumped from a lower gate.
  6. FIA didn't ban Russian & Belarussian drivers (the latter are virtually non-existent) from competing but Great Britain banned them from competing in their country so that probably means Nikita Mazepin won't take part in British GP later this season. https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a39294511/russians-banned-from-uk-motorsport/
  7. Elina Svitolina beat Anastasia Potapova 6-2 6-1 in Monterrey R1.
  8. Daniel Tschofenig & Nika Prevc won both training rounds today. Good showing for Alexandra Loutitt too.
  9. Statement from ITF, WTA, ATP & four Grand Slam organizers. Nothing more can be done if you consider tennis is the most individual of all individual sports and basically all of the players' initial funding comes from their families or sponsors and not from any national boards. https://www.wtatennis.com/news/2510418/joint-statement-by-the-international-governing-bodies-of-tennis
  10. Statement from Elina Svitolina who has pulled out of WTA tournament in Monterrey.
  11. Well, he had no chance to win the overall anyway. Will Norway bring back Johannes Dale in his place?
  12. Yeah, most countries have lifted restrictions anyway. Nobody is crying wolf over mutations either. Omikron didn't prove as deadly as some wiseguys feared. And it's business as usual. In few months time it will be treated on par with influenza and updates will stop alltogether.
  13. First World Cup podium for William Poromaa. Niskanen wins 15k classic.
  14. 7th place for Salarich! I bet he won't start with a bib number in the 40s now?
  15. Yes, I am serious. The neverending civil war in Yemen proves that. Nobody gives a damn about that country least of all USA.
  16. Yemen supported Saddam Hussein during the first Gulf War. Nobody will give them even a toilet paper.
  17. Some update on the shipments to Ukraine:
  18. Boots. Apparently we used the same boots that got DQ in Willingen already
  19. Iga Swiatek wins Doha 6-2 6-0 over Anett Kontaveit in the final
  20. First World Cup victory for Bogataj - already an Olympic champion! Also great 4th place for Frida Westman and 9th for Abigail Strate - both PB!
  21. Some Brazilian football players & Manor Salomon from Israel are apparently on the Medyka border crossing and set to enter Poland. There is one Polish player in the Ukrainian league (Tomasz Kedziora from Dynamo Kiev who is married to Ukrainian woman) and he is still in Ukraine but our FA tries to evacuate him too.
  22. Kazakhstan has refused to send troops to help Russia and also won't recognize the Donetsk & Lugansk separatist republics
  23. Joe Biden might be a bigger idiot than I thought he was. China must be truly laughing at all this.
  24. Dayana Yastremska has left Odessa on advice from her parents and is in Romania right now. https://www.instagram.com/p/CaaPTOCoxz9/
  25. You don't realize imperial Russian politicians HATE independent Ukraine for centuries. Same as independent Baltic states or independent Poland. This is rooted to Russian DNA long before NATO existed and the current war path didn't start in 2008 at all.
