yes, since not all the continental champs will be held in each continent before the Games, they won't be used in any case for the Olympic Tornament's seed purpose...

I think we can officially start to speculate on the matchups of the Olympic Tournament(s)...

And Japan announced the list. They gave up women’s epee and chose to form other 5 teams.

My question was delete, ok......

to answer your question, France has a lot of black athletes or arab for reasons: we have a lot of overseas territories (Guadeloupe, Martinique, Saint Martin & Saint Barthélémy, French Guyana, Reunion Island, Mayotte, New Caledonia, French Polynesia and Tahiti, Wallis and Futuna); second reason due to our colonial past, many athletes are of African origin (Senegal, Cameroon, Ivory Coast ..... to name only the main ones) and from Magreb countries (Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco)

I think the more interesting issue is why some countries field teams which are much more immigrant than is the country is as a whole eg France ,GB whilst other countries field teams which are much less immigrant than the country is as a whole eg Australia

The answer is simple -medal success is much more important to some countries more than others . Both GB and France roam the world chequebook in hand looking for elite athletes to sign up for their so called national teams

See the case of Sasha Zhoya for an example of this

concerning the case of Sasha Zhoya he has 3 nationalities Australia, country of birth, France, country of his mother, and Zimbabwe, country of his father, he chose France, after I do not know the reasons, and we are very happy that he runs under the colors of France

There isn't much difference between the nations of the Games and sport clubs, you need to accept that. I see nothing wrong with that some athletes win for the nations that invested money and resources in them to win Olympic medals, and not for the country where they were born. For example, Natasa Janics might have won medals as a Serbian, but she choose to compete for us because we provided everything she needed to train for the Games and we helped her to win those gold medals. This is just how the globalized world works.

None of the French fencers was, of course, bought with a check - all of them are French born.

Have a read on Guadelupe and fencing: https://tokyo2020.org/en/news/amp/guadeloupe-a-small-island-of-great-fencers

And if Guadeloupeans are too black for anyone's taste, try adjusting the color settings on your tv

Fun fact you can technically travel to Asia Europe North America/Caribbean South America ,Africa and still be in France legally

Mai basically you can travel between continents and still be in France

    • North American rugby quotas ( and qualified automatically)    M: and W: and
    • I remember Caroline Golubitsky. She competed with Vezzali for a while but not for long. Rita Konig, whom Vezzali defeated in the final of the Olympic Games in 2000, was more famous, as well as Sabine Bau and Anja Mueller. From what I remember, the Germans competed fiercely with us at some point, but they almost always lost.
    • Shemyakina won a bronze medal in 2014 Worlds and was one of our leader but leave the squad due to pregnancy (she has 2 daughters if I'm not mistaking, so she chose family instead of sport). And speaking of foil we have back in the day Sergiy Golubitskyi, who was Olympic silver medalist and won some medals in other competitions and coached his wife Caroline Golubitskyi - one of the German foil specialists. Even in women's foil we had medal in Women's foil at the European championship - it was Olha Leleiko, our current national coach. So no, we are pretty good fencing country, and depending on generations of our athletes some events are more "profitable" for us and some don't.
    • Shemyakina that was a very strange story. She unexpectedly won the games but before and after she literally achieved nothing. After that success in 2012 she also completely disappeared. It's only in epee that such strange situations. That's why I've always preferred foil and sabre, because the top was more stable there, although that's changing now. The competition has grown a lot all over the world.
