And just in case one NOC wins more than one event.

NOCs that have sent multiple entries and are eligible for two quotas: :BUL  :EST  :FIN  :HUN  :ISR  :RUS  :SVK  :SWE  :TUR  :UKR

NOCs that are eligible for two quotas, but sent only one entry: :ARM  :CYP  :LAT  :MDA  :MON  :POR

NOCs that are eligible for one quota: :AUT  :BEL  :GRE  :SRB

So we got 10 nations that can win 2 quotas. But only if they finish first in more than one event.

No Polish rowers? Why is Natan Węgrzycki-Szymczyk in M 1x not participating???

Countries which qualified more than two boats at World Championships arent allowed to compete. Our second and final chance will be regattas in Lucerne.

what is the logic to have the semfinals scheduled Wednesday at 6 AM local time and the final 2 hours later ?

are you sure you're reading the correct program? :mumble:

as far as I know, the start time for all Monday and Tuesday sessions is 10 a.m. while on Wednesday the C & B Finals will start at 9 a.m. and the big finals at 9.40 a.m. (plus, some repechage heats on Tuesday will be held in the afternoon)...

ah, OK I just read the news about weather forecast...

they cancelled all of Tuesday's sessions, so the only event that has 4 competition rounds (M1X) will feature heats and repechage on Monday and semis and finals on Wednesday (however, it's at 8.30 a.m. the semis and at 10.50 a.m. the final...not as crazy early as you posted ;))...

    • no idea. I just repeated what I read  but I won't be surprised if they make a mistake like this. the officials here are usually terrible in reading the rules. if I remember correctly they sent an Ice hockey team to the Games back in 2017 but most of the players were ineligible to play per IIHF rules and they played some friendlies instead    btw there is a federation, but not an ISU member. Ice Skating (which has a very very limited activity here) was a part of Skating (roller sports) federation but now moved to Skiing federation which officially changed its name to Skiing and Winter Sports Federation.

    • There is a saying to never trust a Russian in gymnastics. Well, ex-Russian turned Bulgarian Elvira Krasnobaeva is transferring now to Armenia.   The "official" reason is for personal, family matters, but in reality it's most likely because she wasn't selected for Paris, which angered her parents. Even though she is only 16, had her breakthrough just this year and started making mistakes, when they amped up the difficulty.   Our Federation's President Iliana Raeva said today, that she received calls also from France and Azerbaijan about Elvira's mother basically auctioning her. Raeva mentioned, that Krasnobaeva was going to be a vocal point in the next Olympic cycle, but now she can hit the road and missed her chance to ever compete for Bulgaria, even if she wanted to in the future.    We are also going to make a new Group from next season. After the disappointment in Paris, 4 out of the 5 girls announced their retirement.
