Well he actually slapped the face of the same country that gave him resources for his revolution.

Also he lived in luxury for the last 25 years, while most Cubans were condemned to spend their little money on whatever they got... You really need to hear the thousands of Cubans who live in Mexico and tell you stories about people willing to prostitute themselves for a pair of leather shoes (not even designer) or another "comodities".

dont forget the soap, another luxury in Cuba.

At last he never attacked any other country. Barack Obama  won Nobel Peace Prize and start two wars (Libya and Syria) were almost million people lost their lives, and millions of them become a refugees. I never said Castro was saint, far from that, but he was a much better leader than his predecessor Fulgencio Batista who ruled in a tyrannical manner. But he had full US support.

As I said, Castro is not a saint, but he was a great leader

During communism Cuba was the largest supplier of oranges to Czechoslovakia. Yes, it´s true! But you can immagine, how it was a stupid idea and how many (FEW) in this case we actually really received those oranges, they were so few, that people were buying them mainly for the Christmas for example, and it was something really special to have Cuban orange or even more Cuban oranges at home during the christmas (well at this time it wasn´t called christmas but end years holidays), peoples looked on you like a very rich person...

Absolute stupid period it was...thanks god it will never return

Castro was not a leader... he was another one of Latin American CAUDILLO, another of those phony "Statesmen" and "Policiticians" which doesn't even know what a political spectrum is.

He was not socialist, because if he was then why he and the top officers of his party had their own personal fortunes in European banks, when a great number of people in Cuba struggling to get medications and other basic supplies... where's the "equality" in that.

That's the great lie about Communist & Socialist states... whoever gets the power will use it to benefit themselves, not the community they so loudly claim to serve and protect.

And you can see the results of it in Angola.... They seem to be a rich country, Luanda have tons of great business there (lots of portuguese companies have projects there) but the rest of it is serious poverty....

    • the basic is the same but with different tricks, different strategy etc. it's a mixture of frestyle and Greco because you can't dive for a single leg attack.    I'm surprised to see ~20 wrestlers in each weight. hopefully that doesn't tempt UWW or IOC to try this in major events. as a wrestling fan I find this very unwatchable !
