Aerials skier/jumper Maksim Gustik of Belarus has died, aged 35, after a traffic collision today. Hadn't competed internationally since the Beijing Olympics, for obvious reasons, but until then he had a very long and succesful career: he finished in the top-10 of the World Cup standings in nine seasons, from 2011 to 2021. Also 2 World Cup wins, 9 podiums in a World Cup career that started almost 16 years ago.

Peter-Michael Kolbe     age 70, 3 times a silver medalist (76, 84 and 88) in single sculls.  He also won 5 world titles between 1975 and 1986.

Australian former pro cyclist Melissa Hoskins-Dennis has died after being hit by a car, aged 32.

Said car was presumably driven by her husband, (since the end of this season ex-)cyclist Rohan Dennis, who has been arrested and charged and will have to appear in court in March...
