Start Lists confirmed https://triathlon.org/events/start_list/2020_tokyo_olympic_games/501764

Slovakia finished 1st under the qualifying line in both M & W events. Funny and sad at the same time, but certainly a unique and rare situation

There's still about a week for athletes to become injured :p

such is the sport, it is as it is. sometimes it bring joy and positive emotions, sometimes not...what can we do, it happened, we won't do anything about that anymore.

But the one thing that irritates me the most is South Africa, which nominated Richard Murray, who underwent heart surgery two weeks ago and will definitely not be able to start. I will not buy that he will try blah blah.. it was only on purpose just so they can field a stupid mixed relay and nominate him to the anchor leg when they are certain he will not have to compete since their relay will be lapped before. In this way, they will have another column in the start lists with Mixed relay, but they took the place from a competitor who actually can compete. I still can not believe Richard Varga will miss the games, the best swimmer in the circuit, because of one stupid mistake...

nah, let it be. Hockey quota for Beijing will be more important

In term of quotas one single hockey team is about a quarter of all the athletes competing in Triathlon :P

    • I hope they can kick teqball and convince the North Koreans to play the real deal  (very unlikely, I know(   Obstacle racing on the other hand, it should be a compulsory sport of the ABG
    • Lasting 2 Weeks and including 24 sports    I bet Beach Sepaktakraw(including their favourite Chinlone, Hoop), Water Skiing, Arnis, Floorball, Wushu, Weightlifting, Taekwondo, Underwater Hockey, Boxing and a few martial arts (Kickboxing/Muay Thai etc)   Obstacle Racing also should make the cut.
    • Oops. I must have misunderstood. I could have sworn I saw her jogging in a field of other men. I assumed she had caught up to some of the slower men. (I admittedly wasn't watching closely.)
    • The women started earlier, it was a race without any men participating.
    • Looking forward to this competition starting tomorrow! Will be nice to see some other countries participate. USA women start with Namibia tomorrow.
    • This came out on the official website yesterday. Updated list of events and competition schedules in Japanese.   Padel and Teqball are on the schedules. Looks like two events for Padel and five for Teqball.   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会競技プログラム.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会デイリースケジュール.pdf   https://www.aichi-nagoya2026.org/files/common/260427競技スケジュール/01_日本語/01_アジア/第20回アジア競技大会セッションスケジュール.pdf   On the sports programme PDF, Padel is #25 and Teqball is #38.
    • looks like the agreement is the international federations are in fact hosting the event, not the AG organizers, so everything is up to them to make it happen.   Teqball is now confirmed to have 5 events (singles and doubles) does it mean easy 5 gold medals for Thailand ?   Padel is not 100% confirmed yet. I assume there are still talks ongoing between the IF and the Japanese organizers.
    • I feel like this year's Eurovision is more wide open than ever 😂   There isn't a clear favorite, and that makes everything more exciting. Finland is looking strong, sure, but Ukraine always knows how to surprise people and connect with them. I was checking out the odds a bit, and I was struck by how quickly they're rising.   By the way, I found a site that compares the odds pretty clearly: https://casasdeapuestaseurovision.com/   It’s nothing special, but it gives you an idea of how things are shaping up before the semifinals. Although we all know how this goes… at Eurovision, everything can change in a matter of minutes
