"The decision of the Council of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) to extend the provisional suspension of the All-Russia Athletic Federation (ARAF) as an IAAF Member means that there will be no Russian team(s) taking part in the Amsterdam 2016 European Athletics Championships.
The absence of ARAF, however, has no major consequences for the organisation of the European Championships. From the moment IAAF announced the provisional ARAF suspension, the organisation worked with two scenarios: Russia taking part and Russia not taking part.

As the LOC/organisation, we have had no single influence or involvement in the process and outcome of this decision. We hold full confidence in the European Championships being a success, mainly because of the participation of many international top athletes as well as a large Dutch team with significant medal chances. As the LOC we emphasise the importance of an honest and fair European Championships. Therefore we support the measures needed according to the international athletics federations, to guarantee this as much as possible."

of course I'm writing about men's Javelin...

and he also had a 89-meter+ throw and the remaining 3 were all around or above 85m...very very impressive...

not only, the second German, Julian Weber, improved himself up to well beyond 86 meters...

Germany is definitely going to be the main force at the Games in this discipline...

IAAF allow to compete  Julija Stepanova at Olympic Games (maybe under Russian flag? :mumble:)

No way she will compete under the Russian flag. Russians have already made very clear that they will absolutely not have her in the team.

    • GSOC Kioti National | Saint Johns, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada    Men 1.  Team Mouat 2.  Team Jacobs 3.  Team McEwen 3.  Team Whyte   Team Mouat have now won the first 3 slams to start the season, and keep their hope for a Grand Slam alive. They’d be the first team to ever achieve that feat.    Women 1.  Team Homan 2.  Team Hasselborg 3.  Team Kim 3.  Team Einarson   Team Homan were 5-2 down entering the 6th end and somehow managed to find a way to win. Now 40-2 on the season, including 5 titles, and are 107-9 in their last 116 games. Incredible consistency.    Full Results
    • I would say the same with Serbia   May the best team win
    • Yes, there are chances for us to make it, but also there are chances for you to beat us by more than 6 goalsOur team is very unpredictable at the moment.
    • My guess is that Montenegro will beat Czech Republic and for the our match it will be about goal difference. I read that if Serbia beat Romania by 6 goals then we will pass. So there are still chances that you can make it.
    • Difficult for us without Neagu But we had some good moments against Montenegro last night. We lost due to many errors in defence, we have to improve that. I don't know what to expect against Serbia, I would say 55% we will go home after group stage, unfortunatly. About the other matches, except Croatia vs Faroe Islands which ended with a draw, not to many surprises.
    • Congrats to Max for another win. Easy race for him   The battle for constructor championship is still running What a disgrace for the directors of the race to not send the safety car on track due to that mirror which caused a puncture to Sainz and Hamilton. By the way, looking of the direction of Bottas when he hit that mirror we can be suspicious that he did that intentionally. Ok, he had to give space to the driver who laped him, but his direction is too strange. Pitty such race was ruined by this incident.
    • World Athletics announce the World Athletes of the Year.  Big awards go to Letsile Tebogo and to Sifan Hassan.    Women’s World Athlete of the Year: Sifan Hassan (NED) Men’s World Athlete of the Year: Letsile Tebogo (BOT) Women’s track: Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone (USA) Women’s field: Yaroslava Mahuchikh (UKR) Women’s out of stadium: Sifan Hassan (NED) Men’s track: Letsile Tebogo (BOT) Men’s field: Mondo Duplantis (SWE) Men’s out of stadium: Tamirat Tola (ETH) Women’s Rising Star: Sembo Almayew (ETH) Men’s Rising Star: Mattia Furlani (ITA)       Seems a bit strange to me - OK, there is a case for Tebogo over Duplantis who can basically win every year, but for me Manuchikh beating an almost 30 year old WR beats winning Olympic Marathon Gold.    Hassan and Tebogo named World Athletes of the Year | World Athletics
    • Former snooker World Champion Terry Griffiths passed away at the age of 77.
    • Doesn't matter if Shiffrin is there or not, it's still a last minute defeat for Wendy Holdener.
