One out of Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Algeria, Egypt and Morocco will bid for the 2025 world championships. Whatever happens, that should 100% be Kenya, no doubt about it. At all.

will be bizarre ,remember  much nations refused to participate at the last juniors WC in Nairobi
also Kenya has the most bad Stadium than the rest

It will be bizarre indeed. Seeing the insane atmosphere at the U18 world championships in Nairobi, where the big stadium was 100% full and cheering and dancing and jumping...and that was only for youth athletics! For a senior championships it would be by far the best atmosphere ever in athletics.

Of course nations would be much less likely to withdraw from a senior world champs than from a youth event.

The body of Peruvian Olympian David Torrence was found at the bottom of a swimming pool in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was 31 years old.

First athlete that participated in Rio 2016 who died. RIP

After Doha (low attendance high risk) and Eugene (limited seating capacity), I really don't see IAAF taking any risk with 2023. So most likeley back to Europe or Japan.

As someone who's going to eugene few years in a row already, i have NO CLUE how they will do it there, this is a small stadium, a tiny city, i have no idea how they can accommodate all the athletes, media and fans! every year i come there i look around and i'm clueless how they will ever do it

Well, there is an expansion planned. Hoppefully, it will go according to plans

That would be some iconic stadium right here, albeit still small for a world championship (30K)

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
    • Wisła Płock just assumed 1st position after five consecutive draws. Must be first time ever a team on a five match winless streak actually moves up to league top.
