During London-2012 eurovisionsports makes a coverage of all events. 12 different channels, so you can see what you want.

What about such service on this games?

Nothing is known yet. But it would be perfect if they will do it again :pope::fingers:

Not gonna happen sadly as they lost the rights before Sochi already. The new rights holder is not decent enough to make the same service, what is a crime really.

Finally our National TV unveiled some statement about the upcomming Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

in slovak https://www.rtvs.sk/televizia/clanky/112638/rio-2016-s-rtvs

The olympic pregram in the National Slovak Television will start 5th August at 00:00 our time by a olympic studio, then from 00:55 will start with the Opening Ceremony the 24h per day olympic coverage. which will end the 22nd August at 04:00 AM by the end of the closing Ceremony.

The progrem will be broadcasted especially in the second channel STV 2 (24h/24), In the main public channel STV 1, The olympics will be broadcasted 8hours each night live from midnight to 8h the next morning, so in total our TV will show 30 hours per day of Rio 2016 program, trying to focus mainly to our athletes competitions, but also show the much possible finals live or recorded during later or next morning. also there will be each olympic day two 50 minutes "Summary A and B" such a daily highlights. A for the morning and early afernoon and B for evening and night.

But what is much more important for me they will launch in this link http://rtvs.sk/rio2016/ a special microsite for Rio 2016 with the streams in HD. there will be 8 livestream channels working the whole days showing live broadcasts from disciplines that do not fit in the 2 television channels schedule. Online streams will be available in high definition.:bounce:

At this Special Olympic site of the Slovak TV will be published profiles of all our Olympians, updatet and detailed program of disciplines, updated results, updated information directly from the scene of the Olympics posted by their editors, a video archive and updated medal table.

Our TV also announced that 10 their commentators and reporters will travel to Rio. so as expected much more than for the football Euro last month but significantly fewer than for a hockey world chmpionship :d

Olympics is a huge event & hence I have a feeling that youtube will be showing live streaming of each & every sport throughout each day & won't have geolocation restriction. So don't think anyone would need to use proxy/vpn browser extension

Unfortunately they won't do that again like London 2012 :( IOC is happy with the money from NBC and others which will pay millions for the rights than having every person in the world able to watch any event they like. >> (Yes, I know that IOC need it, don't tell me about that)

Even worse, our state broadcaster won't broadcast any of the matches live, leaving only 2 private-owned stations with really bad reputation in broadcasting multi-sport events (I suspect they will only broadcast football and badminton). What a shame for Indonesia :wall:

In short: our national TV will probably have mostly the Dutch athletes live and then will spend way too much time talking and talking and talking in the studio resulting in them missing live events.

The good side is that they will have 14 live streams on their website :d

And of course I can tune in to the Belgians and Germans and probably the Brits as well on TV :)

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

the good thing about BBC streams is that they are available to everybody in Europe, since they are FTA on satellite @ 28.2 Est (I already put them on top of my channel list, snce they are already active and showing pictures from some events of the London Games - in particular, now they are looping Track Cycling, Men's Keirin + Athletics, Men's 10000m and Diving, Men's Springboard)...:d

india olympics viewage

Star Sports, the official broadcaster of the 2016 Olympic Games for the Indian subcontinent, is expected to put out more than 3,000 hours of sporting action on television and its digital platform Hotstar, potentially making Rio the most watched Olympic Games in India ever.

While Star India will simulcast the games on all eight Star Sports channels (four in standard definition and four in high definition), Hotstar will simultaneously make available 14 live feeds and 36 concurrent feeds from Rio on its Olympics video player.
