No Mathieu van der Poel in Paris, he has decided for the road race :(

If you'd like to help our fellow Totallympics member Bruna Moura get to the 2026 Winter Olympics, after her car crash on the way to the 2022 Olympics, every tiny bit of help would be greatly appreciated! Full story and how to help can be found here!

:CAN team (2 athletes)

Men

Gunnar Holmgren

Women

Isabella Holmgren

As far as medals are concerned, Gunnar might have a chance in men’s mountain biking, although he’s probably on the outside looking in. Career best 8th at the recent Novo Mestre World Cup, and 5th at the Olympic test event. Isabella, who is the reigning junior World Champion, dominated in her U23 debut in Novo Mestre, winning by over 2 minutes. Won’t trouble for a medal, but it really shows what she’s capable of.

:NED picked Puck Pieterse, obviously, and.....Anne Terpstra :yikes:

Nothing against her at all, personally I even find it cool because long ago she started in the team of @brunamoura's employer, but I find it hard to understand how Anne Tauber is not selected...

I am not surprised about this at all, I feel like Anne has been consistently better than Anne.

In all seriousness, Terpstra has consistenly proven herself and unless I missed it in the last few world cups, she has nearly always finished before Tauber. It's a shame for Tauber who is sort of stuck between never passing the older generation and already being passed by the new generation, but I wasn't surprised at all personally.
