I guess 6 could be seen as a good comprimise for combat sports, except for boxing where there should be more men's categories.

6+6+6 for wrestling

6+6 for judo

6+6 for taekwondo

6+6 for fencing, which means full teams too.

Not sure about karate yet, it has to earn its place first.

E: I would also like a mixed team event for judo, taekwondo and wrestling. :d

I agree almost in everything, except on that mixed event.

I've read that too but women's freestyle hardly isn't popular enough yet and men's greco-roman has issues too.

I think many women would compete in both freestyle and greco-roman what is just insult to male wrestlers and other more competitive sports.

Anyway, I don't think there's even World championships in women's greco-roman (?). No way they can add it any time soon, no way.

Yea... I think its unfair that men's categories have to suffer in the name of gender equality. There is a reason why there is no gender equality... because a lot of the women sports are not as competitive yet!

No there is not, Women's Greco-Roman doesn't even exist. never heard a single tournament

I remember even during that IOC meeting (when they re-added wrestling) they asked UWW officials about it and the Canadian girl from UWW told them women around the world didn't show interest in Greco-Roman yet.

Honestly I think it's more likely we see Greco-Roman wrestling removed to make way for more weight categories in other disciplines than to have women's Greco-Roman added.
