  • 2 weeks later...

and :ITA are always in troubles with Arianna Fontana and her whims

now she said she won't be back on the ice until the federal judges will fix the feud she has with Tommaso Dotti and other guys of the male team she said they tried to get her injured during the training sessions in the past years

frankly, I'm so tired of this shit taking the attention of the media and of the audience away from the action of the current members of the team (and especially Pietro Sighel's medals)

World Cup starts tomorrow from Montreal. 29 participating countries.

It will start sadly without Natalia Maliszewska who is unfairly banned from competition until further notice :/

It will be a very attractive tournament for Chinese fans as ex OG champions :KOR Lim and :HUN Liu brothers will compete for :CHN at the same time. Because of their naturalization and participation, this sport is at least 10 times popular than before in China.

:CHN Liu Shaolin already out in the quarter finals of the 1.000m. I guess he needs some more time to get back to his original level.

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)

    • I read the Olympic qualification documents for weightlifting. A country can have the opportunity to send a maximum of 4 athletes in one gender, but the conditions are very strict.
    • world champion Jessica Schilder opened her season up with 19.78 in France.
    • wait! what???   so, there won't be specialized double sculls, but those boats would have to feature 2 single specialists if a Nation wants to enter 2 proper singles M+W??? tell me I misread the expalaination...
