Handball- Women’s Tournament Gold- Norway Silver- France Bronze- Denmark Montenegro 4th. Volleyball- Men’s Tournament Gold- Poland Silver- Japan Tight five set battle in the gold medal match, with the fifth set ultimately going 18-16 in favor of Poland. Day 15 (August 10, 2024) Athletics- Men’s High Jump I say Gold for Barshim as well. But i may be biased because he is my fav high jumper and probably even my fav no-POL athlete these days. He's got Polish coach :-) No medal for Tamberi would be sad for me cause he's my second-fav male high jumper. It can obviosly happen though. And Woo is serious contender for sure, I haven't picked him for medal myself but maybe you're right. Athletics- Women’s 100m Hurdles I believe Harrison will win this one. Finally she will prove she can run her best in the final as well. Not only in prelims, semis or DL meetings. So i think she will win this one. But ofc - she may even not make it through US Trials here, because US Trials level in some events will be amazing and this is one of those events... No fan of Amusan at all so I don't want her to get a medal here. But she's a contender ofc. Athletics- Men’s 800m I haven't predicted gold for Arop either but maybe we should be more optimistic here. He has a chance for gold. He looked simply great in Budapest. Looking at him - after first 100m you just knew he will win this final. Athletics- Men’s 5000m I said Ingebrigtsen will get 1500-5000 double but surely UGA can have a gold here. Athletics- Women’s 4x400m Relay Athletics- Men’s 4x400m Relay I agree - 2 golds for USA in M and W 4x400 Basketball- Men’s Tournament I may be very disappointed but for now I'm thinking M basketball will be one of the best events in Paris. I just can't wait to see these matches. My only hope is GRE will advance and Giannis will play (but both these things are not very likely). Anyway, let the best remaining top 4 teams qualify now and let's not have many NOs when the best players will be asked to join their teams. Beach Volleyball- Men’s Tournament Yes, SWE and NOR are my favs as well. Where do you see POL here? Diving- Men’s 10m Platform I like the UKR kid very much but i don't see it happen. It would require both CHN athletes to screw things up (one of them can always screw up, but both of them in the same event... - very unlikely imo). And AUS is really strong here as well. Anyway, I predicted a surprised gold for UKR in synchro platform due to CHN collapse, we'll see. Handball- Women’s Tournament It would be very sad for FRA to get to the final here, and then lose it in front of their own crowd. But at least there will be some crowd in the stands this time. Anyway, it can happen ofc, we'll see WCH results soon... Volleyball- Men’s Tournament I believe in POL team here, i predicted them for gold as well, but i'm afraid we'll lose QF game again - OR we will win QF relatively easily and then we will celebrate too much, lose our concentraton and implode heavily in a SF But if we advance to the final somehow - I don't tnink we'll meet JPN there, they are strong but - i don't know how to say it politely - JPN guys are playing well but they are not hmm... high enough??? Ofc, after what i wrote, POL will lose QF against JPN for sure... Waterpolo- Women’s Tournament Here i predicted gold for HUN but you are right here i guess Edited December 10, 2023 by rafalgorka Josh
