9. :DOM Dominican Republic 2 4 2 8
9. :VEN Venezuela 2 4 2 8

Another strong day for the United States as they are well on pace to outdo their 2019 performance. While Mexico had a good day with six golds, Canada countered with eight to trim Mexico's lead to 2. Brazil is slowly being left behind as they are ten back from Canada. Chile moved up one to sixth with a three gold medal haul. Argentina picked up another eight medals, but only one was gold. It was still enough to move ahead of Venezuela who failed to win any medals today. If they aren't careful the likes of Peru or Ecuador may surpass them.

Mexico is doing very well but Taekwondo is already over and Diving is coming to the final day, these two sports have delivered most of the golds.

But still, it is a great result that many other sports are doing their duty with the gold medal haul, maybe not dominating like taekwondo and diving, but surely giving golds. here and there.

Special mention to Raquetball that has been a great contribution in other Games but this edition will be a modest gold tally, with maybe 4 of the 7 availabe, when in past editions Mexico sweep them all.

22 golds already and the goal of surpassing the 37 from 2019 is within reach. 37 Golds in one edition is the most ever for Mexico in Panamerican Games history.

There could be more golds in Diving, Track Cycling, Rowing, Archery, Modern Pentathlon, Triathlon and specially Pelota Vasca that traditionally gives Mexico many golds.

Athletics could deliver maybe a couple of gold medals.

Just caught a replay of the men's wakeboard final...

I think it, along with the women's finals, are my favorite events at the Games so far. Broadcast production created a good product, venue announcer kept the energy high, athletes played to the crowd and brought some great tricks. It was just really fun to watch. I'll honestly be a bit sad if water ski/wakeboard is dropped from the program in 2027 :(

4 new medals in the bag, but, none of them gold, although both silvers were very damn close of golds... Especially Lisseth Ayoví lost the thrilling fight for the gold by only one kilogram.

Absolute Lima 2019 "Déja-Vu" vibes for Diana Durango who added 3rd Paris Olympic quota to the team thanks to her silver in the 25m Pistol.

In completely opposite feelings section, quite of complicated day for the boxing part of the team have to be mentioned as well, with a nightmarish 0-5 record in yesterdays Quarterfinals bouts...

1 - 3 - 6

Shooting W 25m Pistol Silver

Lisseth Ayoví,

I like it the event and it seems we are good in it which is cool, but why so much delay with the results? Our two first gold medals were ages waiting while checking their cell phones :p
